well right now i have with me a proper set of lights to grow i have reflectors and all these other lights for weed from my friend who used to grow. im planning on growing in my closet , how muchh will it smelll and um what do you guys think ahah
there are many different factors that contribute to the smell: plant numbers, vegging and flowering stage, circulation, carbon scrubbers and the like. you can build a homemade carbon scrubber that would deal with the smell. just google "homemade carbon scrubber"
Like aggwidow said you can just build your own carbon filter and that will do the job just fine, unless you got a shit load of plants lol. Make sure they get good ventilation. Without proper ventilation in your closet temps will climb very fast trust me lol. Good luck on the grow bro, I wish you all hairy stinky females lol.
The smell is bad so much that it clings to your clothes. I did this kind of grow. A carbon filter is a must have. Either make your own or buy one it will filter out the smell of the plants. Also if your growing in a closet when the plants are a size that you are happy with you should then turn to force flowering. Lets say you have pure sativa which can grow very tall let it grow about 7 - 8 inches and then switch to 12 hours light 12 dark and then your plants should not grow too tall. This is a tip i heard from the high times dvd of 2003
Growing a pure sativa, or a sativa dominant in your closet would be a bad idea lol. If your going to grow inside make sure you get an indica strain, as these won't grow as tall and will harvest earlier.
