I'm all about natural living and aim to get started soon. I am going to do it in my closet. Question is though... I'll be using CFLs and 1 3Gallon Container. How do I vent this? Fans? and how do I keep the odor down to a minimum? That's the one thing the Grow 8oz. for less than 100 Dollars Book didn't really talk about. I'll also be using this thread as a Update Journal on how well it's moving along. Oh and What do I do with Pest Strips? Any Advice would help. First time Grower. -Cub
1. You need to somehow run an intake fan and an exhaust fan in your space, plus a fan that is in the room blowing around the plant. Since you are using cfls, heat most likely wont be a huge issue, so you can get relatively cheap fans online or at the store for doing this. Just make sure your room has good airflow, and is getting new air pushed through it and pulled out of it. Also, is you get a bigger exhaust fan, say a 4'' inline duct fact, you can have passive intakes which means just having holes for intake instead of fans, and the exhaust sucks new air through those holes. 2. I wouldnt expect to get 8oz from one plant on your first grow 3. Search on this forum for questions you have, there is a shit ton of info on here.
ok so first things first there is no possable way ur guna get 8 oz from a 2by2 grow box not ever a 2mby2m box when it all comes down to it ur only guna have abute 16 inches to work with in the end. considering your plants are guna be adlease a food tall befor you flower and they adleast double in size durning flwer ur guna have a hard time with that small of a box. what i have found to work and is also extreemly cheap is either 2 black plastic toats hinged together with a hold ontop for the cfl or what i am using right now, just a slinding closet with a mh light that i got off craigs list for 30 and it incleuded the ballast and the bulb. if u have a shelf in the closet u can hang the light from that, and if u cant do mh or hps a very large 400wclf will do the trick, or u can use t5 florescent for flowering. those are priity cheap. as for the smell, whell i use an air cleaner machine witha carbon filter and an ionizer that i also got off craigslist for 5 bucks. i noe produce abute 9 to 10 oz a month wich is pritty dam good considering the environment
