Growing directly in the ground in a Greenhouse!

  1. I grow in the ground in a greenhouse. My biggest enemy was mold and moisture. You need good airflow, especially when it gets cooler, or the mold will wipe you out. I heavily amended the soil with organic matter. Potting soil works. It let's the roots spread out and absorb better. Then drying, you want to dry it before you do any extracts or oil baths, because you don't want water in there either.

Another problem with greenhouses is the insects like it in there too. I always get more slugs, mites, aphids, earwigs. I use salt dishes for the slugs. Ladybugs for the mites, and chickens for the earwigs. I drench the whole thing including the soil in natural soap water at the start of each season.

My last "problem", is the plants grow so much bigger in a hot greenhouse. So I have to top them off aggressively. Because if the colas press against the glass they get condensation damage.
