Hey I’m a new grower, and I’m thinking about switching to autos after my first grow. I don’t have a separate flowering room so I’m thinking this way I’ll be able to try keeping a consistent grow going . If not at least I’ll harvest a lot quicker than usual , I’m growing to smoke to I’m hoping one harvest of autos will last until the next. I’ll be in a 2 x 4 growing with 2 QB96s . My questions are ... how hard is it to grow autos? Will I be able to get a good yield from autos compared to photos? And any good high yield autos anyone can recommend?
Depends on what you grow , Photos will always out produce autos in longevity but there are some auto strains out there like the indica , sucker punch from Auto-seeds that produce pretty good , The difference is photos you can veg for 3 months and get rather large And autos will be done in 3 months from seed to weed in 70-90 days depending on the strains . I’m currently on my first grow. Doing autos and photos. Just harvested my first auto and the second one will be coming down within the week. They aren’t that bad. I don’t have much to compare it to but I don’t feel like they were difficult. But on the same hand I’m sure I’m not yielding much. My guess is under an oz on first harvest. What’s the average yield for an auto would you say? I’m just trying to grow enough to have to smoke until harvest comes around, I’d be fine with 2 - 2.5 oz a month in a 2 x 4 if that’s not to much to ask for lol
So basically I would like to get around 8 oz every 90 days growing autos lol ... is it possible to yield that in a 2 x 4 as a new grower

Ok cool maybe I’ll give autos a try next grow, I’m running 2 QB96s . I’m thinking those should be pretty good for lighting. Any good strains I can order that have high yields? I’m looking for a skunky smelling bud or some berry taste...

It’s more than possible to yield that from a single auto mate. Just gotta get the right genetics and treat em right. Dutch passion are the kings of yield, my profile pics one of their autos grown with shitty blurples and I’ve seen pretty much everything on their menu done that size by other folk.
