Growing autos outdoors?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by N00bygrower, Apr 29, 2020.

  1. Hey i just want to know if growing autos outdoors is good as this is going to be my first time growing outdoors with autos. I currently get like 12 hours of sunlight (im in ontario & the weather is a little unpredictable over here) but im sure that will increase as summer comes around. I cant grow photoperiods as it is not dark enough so it wont flower Planning to grow some white widow auto from crop king seeds. Feedback would be appreciated

  2. autos are great to start with photos as they harvest much earlier \waiting for the photos to finish

plant photos now and you get to harvest ...next fall if an outdoor grow some very big trees

start either off inside in solos and bright light

    good luck

  3. I plan to move the dirt in my yard & mix it with some potting soil. Then once the seeds arrive germinate them then plant them in said dirt/potting soil mix. Will i need nutes? As for water i plan to just use the hose in my yard will i need a ph reader?

first grow yes a ph reader is good or pool stripes $5.00 from your local drugstore

leave a large jug of water out to breathe out the chems then ph read your water

really you don't need to use your back yard soil etc
when growing in ground growers spend $$ and time developing the site

    consider
    cheers

  5. You will need nutes for yield/potency but not straight away.

  6. I'm in Western New York. We have hemp farms around that pollinated my outdoor photos last year. So im starting 24 autos in solo cups once they arrive.

just dig your holes out, amend with a couple cups of BioLive, 4-5 handfuls of EWC, two handfuls of composted chicken manure, perlite, fresh compost from landscape supply store (or bagged compost. All you need to do is water your plants after setting them up like this

  7. Autos are the easiest option for most of Canada since harvest for photos is in October. Weed plants really don't like snow and frost.

  8. I was thinking of the general hydroponics flora series nutrients (micro & bloom) will that be ok?

  9. Iirc for autoflowers you don't want to start them off in small cup/pots as transplanting shocks the plants & autos need the all time it can get for its short veg time. Plant them in their final pots immediately

  10. why feed bottled nutrients when you can feed organic goodness? No ph, no ppm, just plain old water

  11. that’s a myth

  12. Thats exactly why im going with autos

  13. That sounds good but what kind of organic nutrients shall i get then?

  14. It could be but im not going to take that chance. So ill be planting them in their final area once they germinate

  15. It's much easier to not over-water and allows you to let the soil dry out between watering.

  16. its more risky to do that. Mine will be healthy and strong by the time they need to deal with outside elements

  17. That was the thought behind autos. Hell they are breeding some now that take 100 days lol.
