Growing autos in a tent

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Borisoff, Apr 22, 2019.

  1. Hi, guys!
I'm growing autos for a first time, using Canna nutrients.
    Here i've got some pics.
My babies are 13 days old now, so I would like to ask u guys, about the small plant at one of the pictures. It just doesn't grow. Do you think i should wait for it to start growing, or it's gone? :)

  2. Wait man, did you not plant the seeds in separate pots? They will need more space when they grow bigger and transplanting them would be a issue due to not having them in separate pots. It's also hard to decide if you should keep the stunted growth seedling because the picture is not in normal light. Upload pictures in daylight and I can help you further :)

  3. The pots are 5 gallons, so I thought it would be ok.
I took some pics with the lights off. My camera sucks :(
The stunted growth seedling is Royal Gorilla auto, and the other one that has some powdery spots on the leaves is Northern lights auto. :)

  4. What medium are you using? Next time consider adding 30% perlite to whatever your medium is - expect slow growth with no perlite for added oxygen to the roots. One plant per bucket is recommended.

Good luck and welcome to GC. :)

  5. Very excited to be here! Thanks for the warm welcome and support :)
    I'm using coco.

  6. Have you grown in coco before with good results?

  7. Never been growing before.

  8. Coco is not soil - it's soilless drain to waste hydroponics and it should not be treated like soil.
I can answer all your questions but it would be easier if you read it all in an excellent coco grow guide. I suggest you do some research on how to grow in coco - this site can help from making mistakes due to lack of coco knowledge. www.cocoforcannabis.com.
Good luck and I'm happy to help if you need clarification on anything. :)

  9. Thanks a lot! I will definitely read it. :)
I bought ready to plant coco by Atami, I'm using A n B, Rhizotonic and Cannazym all by Canna, and spray them with neem oil. Later on, when they start flowering, will add boost accelerator, and pk 13/14 by Canna. The ph is a bit high - 7.00 (still waiting for my ph down). I think I'm doing it right.

  10. What made you decide to grow autos for your first grow?

  11. I’m about to start my first grow with autos and you’ve got me worried now! Is there a “something completely different” about growing autos vs photoperiods I haven’t heard about? I have a couple of PP seeds and I was going to try them for my second grow...

  12. Decided to grow autos, because they will be ready for harvest in 9-10 weeks, so I can harvest twice this summer( can not keep high temperature in winter).

  13. I didn't mean to worry anybody. Lol.

First time growers usually have problems because of their inexperience which can be detrimental to an auto. An auto has a predetermined life and any slow up in growth because of problems will adversely affect the yield. On the other hand if a problem develops in a photo plant you have time to correct it because you control it.

Don't misunderstand - there are beginners that have no problems - maybe you're one of them. Even Mephisto, who specializes in autos, doesn't recommend them for beginners.

I'm sure you'll do fine - good luck.

  14. I'm no auto expert but I doubt it will finish in 9-10 weeks - more like 12 total. I grew 2 autos last summer and they took 12 weeks from sprout.

    Good luck.

  15. It says up to 10 weeks in the site where i bought them, but 12 is also perfect.
Can I just ask you about the ph of my nutrient mix. Is 7.00 too high? The coco is set to the perfect values.

  16. I totally agree, if you choose to grow photoperiod as a first time grower you can experiment with lst and topping. If you run into nute problems or the plant is stressed, it will have time to recover and it won't affect the yield as much as in the case with autoflowering.

  17. Please read the link I posted for you. Your nute solution should be around 5.8 - this is hydroponics.

  18. I will. Thank you :)
