Growing autoflowers under led with pictures

  1. Hello all haven't posted in over a month.
This is my second grow ever :)

I went with auto flowers because I read they stay small and I don't have to much height to my tent.

    Strains:
    Habiba auto flower from AMS
    White Widow auto from ILGM
Don't know which plants are what anymore

    Planted July 21st
After about 3-4 days they all sprouted.

    Soil:
I used Black Gold and perlite

    Pots:
    5x. 3 gal fabric pots
    2x. 1.5gal pots

    Nutrients:
General hydroponics CalMag and Biotrive and some chaching Fox farms

    Lights:
2x. Sandalwood 150W Dual Mode LED Grow Light
    1x VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 300W LED

    2x fans
1x 4" exhaust and carbon filter

Temps stay around 81" humidity under 45%

Ph no idea.. just tap water left out for 24hours, I water whenever the pots feel light.

6 Plants have been grown under 24/7 light. 1 plant in a 1.5gal pot was left to grow outside and it stretched pretty bad and was brought back into the tent under 24/7 light.

Harvest week should be Sept 17th-24th per growth time on the websites I got the seeds from. But I'm thinking maybe a ill longer because the buds haven't plumped up all the way yet.

Anyone have an idea on how many weeks left based on pictures?
    How much weight dry guesstimates?

    My tent is pretty full

  2. looking good! only feedback would be to adjust the lights to 20/4 schedule. from what i have seen on the forums they still need some dark period for bud production. these haven't budded up quite yet. keep it up!

  3. also don't be afraid to expose those inner bud sites by trimming away the fan leaves that block or "shade" the lower nodes. it looks pretty crowded in there.

  4. I didn't wanna mess with them, I read autos don't like to be cut cuz it could stunt them and they only have so long to grow. I'm gonna keep this batch on 24/0 just because I want them done faster stick as close as I can to the websites time frame, cutting the hours would make them take a little longer and cut electricity usage which doesn't really matter since its all led the full setup pulls less then 500watts. I read allot of post using google with people saying there's not much of a difference between 24 and 20 hours of light vs growth size except for electricity usage. You get a few more grams with 24 hours of light vs 20. Only thing you save is cost of the lights running, which for me isn't much seeing a desktop computer uses like 300-400watts.

My next grow I do wanna experiment with a 18/6 during veg then 24/0 during flower because I've read a few people saying they increased there dry weight by as much as 30% doing this because it gives the plant more time to grow during vegging.

There starting to frost up nice the buds still have a decent amount of plumping up to do.

  5. My autos do better on 24/0, more light the better.

They are looking very yellow, I'd raise the nutrient dosage a bit, and next time use bigger pots as they have out grown these ones

In order to take a guess at how long they have left I'll need a close up shot of some of the bud, full colour and focused preferably

I think the yellowing might be some light bleaching because I had my led lights closer at one point and the yellowing started so I raised them up has high as they would go but the plants leaves never recovered also the yellowing is mostly on top because the leaves hidden inside the foliage is more green. The plants also stayed kinda of short and bushy. I'm gonna double there next dosage of thrive. Do you know when I should stop giving nutes? The ones I'm using say they are organic.

  7. They look good man, I'd say they have about 3 or 4 weeks left. I'd cut the nutes out for the last week or two

  8. Thank you. So nutes only for this week. Then plain water for two. Does cal mag count as a nute? Should it be cut a well

I give cal mag with every watering 1tsp per gallon

  9. Yeah calcium and magnesium are nutes, cut them out too. I'd wait for a further two weeks before you stop adding nutrients

  11. Any guess on how much an auto will yield in a 3gal pot under 600w of led ? Hoping close to an oz each. But I don't know how much autos normally yield?

  12. I don't have an answer for you regarding yield with your set up. I will say that your plants are doing well considering the lights you are using. While the Viper is listed as "300w" in real life it is only pulling about 130 watts making it a 130w fixture. The Sandlewood lights have the worse output of an LED fixture I have seen. They list their output of 2660lumen. Just to give you an idea on how bad they are a simple 42w CFL bulb puts out 2700lumen! I would say you are most likely growing under about 200 watts at the wall not 600w.

  13. Is there a use for male plant beside seeds?

    130w for the vipar
    80w x2 for the sandelfoot
    Closer to 290-300watt being pulled.

But led lights are not measured in lumens. I doubt anyone could grow 7 plants under 9000 lumens total as big as mine and get as much frost as I have now seeing that a 60watt cfl puts out close to 10000 lumens alone lol I mean if you could grow this much under 10000 lumens you'd be the Jesus of weed. I mean could you grow 7 plants under 4x 42w cfl bulbs the equivalent of 10000 lumens?

Leds are measured in par. The vipar is 300w equivalent of lumens while using 150w the sandelfoots are 150w equivalent while using 80w Bringing the total up to 600w equivalent while only pulling close to 300w,

And no pull male plants right away

  15. The 300w on the light comes from the max output of the diode. Whether its 100 3w diodes, or 60 5w diodes. Leds run at half their capacity for longevity. So really it's pike 100 1.5w diodes or 60 2.5w diodes, meaning the leds are only drawing 150w. That is just an estimate though. The board and fan on the light will also draw power

  16. Leds = Confusing allot of variables

But the plants seem to love the light and so does my wallet running them 24/7

My previous bag seed plant grown under only the vipar harvested a ill over an oz .

Also my sandalwood box's have infrared diodes while the vipar does not. They also produce allot more red light while the vipar is more white and blue. I like having all 3 for the different wavelengths with the vipar running in the middle of the other two.

  17. My last grow I ran 170w of cfl only and got over 50g dried. Now I'm running like 125w cfl and a Mars hydro 300w. I'm hoping for like 2.5 or 3oz
