Im almost ready to start my first indoor closet grow. I've been doing extensive research and plan on doing a bit more before I get things started. What are some tips you can share that wouldn't be in the average "how to grow guide"? Like things that you've only learned because of mistakes you made. Just simple little procedures you've discovered at some point along the way that made growing a little easier for you.
Nice setup. Did you buy it in Shrew? How's that new store? Clearly you're serious about growing having made the investment. The only advice I can give is relax. The plant wants to please you and give you its gift. Let it. Don't try to over-analyze everything like a first-time parent with a newborn. The plant will tell you what it wants. Good luck!
Get your entire op set up and tested for temps, ventilation, noise, etc before you germ your first seed. Stick with all-organic or as close to it as possible. Better to feed too little than too much. You can't overwater in one watering -- overwatering happens from watering too frequently. Let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. Whoever you are about to tell -- don't.
"Whoever you are about to tell -- don't." There is the best piece of advice so far! Mix that FFOF with 50% perilite and dont add nutes for the first month or so (from seed) Be patient, document everything from mistakes to successes, get ready to make those mistakes and learn from them!
