I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment with a little backyard. Right now I am doing my first (trial) grow in my closet. (I would like to have my closet back). I was looking around the HTG site and seen some grow tents that would be perfect for my backyard. There is only one other apartment next door so I don't live in a complex or anything. The backyard is also fenced in with a very tall wood fence. I was just wondering what you guys thought of them. Here is a link to what i was thinking about. High Tech Garden Supply I know some just build their own, but when it comes to building things.. I'm shit out of luck, lol. I had to have a friend come over and put my computer desk together. This tent I linked is just an example. Hell if anyone knows of one better feel free to let me know. Keep in mind I would like it to be portable in the event I ever had to move etc etc.
I don't personally have any experience with HTG's grow tents, but I and alot of others here at GC hold HTG in high regard. Good luck on your grow!
Thanks, I do not have any exp. with grow boxes or grow tents. I just want to make sure before I commit to my next grow that I am prepared with what I need. I need portability, some what stealth, but not really. I also need my closet back, lol. When I seen those tents I thought it was perfect for what I wanted. Also perfect for my backyard. I just want to make sure that It's not something that i would get one use out of it and such.
Yea HTG tents are nice, not the best tent but priced well. They may be bigger then you think, mine was when it came. You can use it outside I guess but in the bedroom would be the best.
I know inside would be best overall, just the apt. I live in isn't all that big. The backyard though is all cement on the ground with a gazebo over it. I don't think it will be open to the elements that much. (I live in California) I also already did some measurements and the tent I linked in the first post is perfect for what I want. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be buying something made out of some really cheap plastic etc. Thanks for the replies so far. Much appreciated. On 1st glance.... I would say that particular tent is too tall. Being as though it is outside... maybe make it less conspicuous? I would shorten it up... find something more rectangular, so you could put a divider in to be able to have a veg cycle going with a bud cycle, this way you would have a more continuous supply. just a thought.... hope it helps
OH YEAH....... ALWAYS CHECK EBAY!!!!! ALWAYS... when you do, check for warrantys too. The thing about ebay is, when you want something warrantied, some companies dont even have you send the old one back.... If you are dishonest.... you could even lie and say it was ripped....LOL 2 for 1.... j/k... but I have done it
I don't have to worry about it being so stealth as my fenced in small back yard is pretty concealed. Large privacy fence and the entire thing is almost covered by a gazebo type overhang. As for dividing for veg/flowering, I was actually just thinking about getting two of them. One for each, lol. I will keep looking before I decide to buy to see which one would fit me the best. I would like to have at least 4-5 plants in each tent (or section if I divide a single tent into two). I want to keep a good supply for myself w/o worries of ever going dry. So 4-5 vegging in one and 4-5 flowering at all times possible. (if those tents will even hold 4-5, I have not really thought about it yet) I say 4-5 but to be honest I don't even know what kind of yields that amount of plants would even produce. I am doing Blue Mystic at the moment, but that could change at any time. I plan to use LST and if I could manage in one of those tents maybe go scrog. I kinda like the scrog method. We will see though. thanks again for replies. they are helping me a lot in deciding what the end result will be.
