grow tent vent question

  1. i have a 4'9x4'9x6'7 grow tent in my room
plan on using a 600watt mh/hps with a carbon filter and 2 fans
i was thinkin... Carbon filter>>Ducting>>Fan>>Hood>>Ducting>>Fan>>Ducting to out of tent.
Would that setup work? is it possible to have the 2 fans setup like that?
and would the two fans with each a 300 cfm rating make it 600 cfm in total?

and also i have my grow tent in my room with no attic access so my intake aire would be comin from where my outake air is going. how can i fix that? idk where else i can exhaust my old air too.

  2. Carbon filter>Inline fan (they usually mate up)>Ducting to hood>Ducting out tent

You could connect the fan via ducting if they do not mate up but its less efficent. You want the smallest distance between things and as few bends as possible.

Usually air is sucked in below and shot out on top. Its fine.

  3. so dont use 2 fans? should i juss get one fan with a 500 or 600 cfm rating?
and the air shooting out up top, will they make my room smell even with the carbon filter?

  4. NO I have a very similar set up! extaction with filter above the light & 2 vents open on the bottom of the tent No smell (flowering tent)

  5. also have an oscillating fan inside the tent! hope this helps

  6. so my exhaust air that's coming out of my tent can go into the bedroom where my intake that is coming from? Wouldn't that mean the old air is goin back in to the tent?

  7. direct the exhaust to a window if not try vent opening the window better some than none!

  8. would it be possible just to leave my bedroom door open?

  9. Fresh air is best
