I just got a grow tent with the dimensions being 36X20X62. Would a 250W HPS be sufficient to use? Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Your tent is 5 square feet (3 ft x 1.66 ft). Two rules of thumb are 50 watts per sq. ft. or 5000 lumens per sq. ft. You win on both counts! A 250w will output 50 watts per sq. ft in your tent and since a 250 puts out 28000 lumens you'll get 5600 lumens per sq. ft. Good luck!
ya he basicly coverd it. u should be good with the 250w hps. but might i reccomend if u plan on growing multipul plants the i would add a couple 40w cfls on the sides.... good luck and happy growing
