  1. Hello GC community,

So I grew outdoors the last time I was growing and decided to change it up this year. This year I’m running a 600w MH with a LR1000 unvented grow shade in a 3x3 growtent for veg. I also have a couple clip on fans as well as a 4” growneer inline fan and I added a taotronic humidifier to increase my humidity. My tent temperature reads between 24-28 degrees at 55% humidity, I was just curious if these temps and humidity were alright as I’ve read conflicting sources? Also this year I made my own soil and added extra perlite for drainage, Once they are big enough and ready to transplant I have 5 gallon fabric pots and a scrog to put into the tent. I have moved them outside for the day to receive some natural sunlight and I will attach a few pictures of my plants I started with 10 and am down to 7 right now(These are bag seeds as well). Any advice, opinions, criticism or information/resources are greatly appreciated and considered as all of us know that the knowledge and research is a never ending cycle!

  3. I used to run that in a 5x5. Way over kill, and will hard to deal with heat if you don't move a lot of air
U can't grow more than 4 in there, and you will have to flower early or the stretch will cause em' to fight for light

  4. How big do you let them veg too? Anything is possible. Since you have 7 plants, your space may be limited. That's okay, you'll pull through this one. Yield may be less because you can't have 7 dwarf trees in 6 sq ft. But you could have 7 plants in smaller pots and still get buds and be happy, learn and move on to next time.

  5. He 100% can have 7 plants no problem. Just don’t veg them as much. People do sea of green grows with way more plants.

  6. @PizzaAndPasta
I only grow 3 to 4 plants in the tent. No way could I get 7, plus the law says 5 and over is a felony.
I only veg about 2 to 4 weeks, mostly 3 weeks. It's strain dictated. Sativa's stretch, Indica's not so much. Research you strain.
I flip the lights at about 18 inches tall and almost as big around as the 5 gallon bucket

  7. Thanks for the input Pizza and HardDrive, I have a friend who is running 5 plants in a 3x3 grow tent right now running a similar set up. He hasn’t had any heat issues besides when it’s excessively hot out during the day as it is summer weather but he also runs his lights during the day which I find can pose a the heat issue, I personally run my lights at night time for cooler temps. I also am planning on pulling the 4 or 5 best/strongest plants out of the 7 and transplanting them into 5 gallon fabric pots and using the double layer scrog method as @PizzaAndPasta mentioned. Personally if you grow the plants top and train them properly it can work and be feasible and yes I may be tight on space but I think I’ll be alright? As far as heat stress my temps all day today were at 26 Degrees with a humidity of 64% and it was high 20’s at the hottest point in the day. Also it’s pretty quick to judge someone as it is not a felony if you have a Legal license to grow and cultivate your own personal medicine as well as different countries have different recreational legislation and regulations. All in all I appreciate the input and criticism and thank you guys as well. Here’s a picture from last years grow that I’ve attached as well.

  8. Here’s a few updated pictures

So far I’ve narrowed it down to 6/10 of my best plants, l plan to eventually narrow it down to 4 possibly 5 of the best and then train them and double scrog them. I ended up topping them the other day and wanted to give them a bit of a rest before LST/Tying them down today to open up and provide more light through out the canopy to promote more growth. My temps and humidity have stayed relatively good as I run my lights throughout the evening to provide a natural cold air that my intake fan pulls in to help with any heat issues, the temps stay in the middle anywhere from 24C-30C with a humidity of 50%-70%. I have only fed my plants nutrients once so far at quarter of the normal strength and am on my third normal watering since.
