GrOw Small or Go Home.

  1. Yea, it's nice having the option on going outside.
That's one thing I like about autos, you don't have to worry about the light schedule screwing you up.
Only reason I grow some photos is I have a supply of bag seed, and each time they plants give me a couple seeds.
Now most purists budSnobs would cry about hermies, but as long as it's only a few seeds and the keep making good plants I'm going to be grateful for the gift.

  2. 50 days.
The plant that didn't stretch as much seems to be packing on the weight much faster than the taller one.
Been outside for about a week and a half now. Of course a few days after I put them out we went from 80°, sunny days to cool and cloudy.

Started a couple more seeds. Mango Smile, and Ripley's OG. Since it's been so cool out I started them inside. The poor Ripley had the shell stuck to it for a couple days, then once I got the shell off I didn't realize the membrane was still stuck for a whole day, so it's got a little bit of a slow start.

  3. Looking good! Do you think the smaller one will compete with the taller anyways?

  4. Time will tell.
The two have been leapfrogging each other since the beginning. #1 came up a day earlier, and outpaced #2 until they started to stretch, then #1 got bigger and taller, but now #2 seems to be packing on more buds.

I'm hoping #1 will shoot back ahead again.

  5. Haha, I'm hyped for the result, will stay tuned!

1 week for the Ripley's, and a couple days more for the Mango Smile.
They've been spending the nights inside under the lights, and the days under mild mostly cloudy MayGloom. ☁️
I added a top dressing of a little and some worm castings yesterday.

  7. 2 weeks
Ripley's is a little mutant. Hopefully it will find it's way.
Mango Smile is doing good. I'll top her this weekend.

    Mango smile 48 days
Fan leaves are starting to turn yellow prematurely, decided to give them a little extra nitrogen today by adding a teaspoon of bat guano into the water.

Mutant Ripley's getting sticky, stinky, and frosty, but still can't tell what it's doing. I've been keeping an eye just to make sure it doesn't shoot out any male flowers or bananas.

Harvested the Skywalker back in June 6. Never did weigh it. Sugar leaves are very frost, so I didn't trim it much. Just pick a nug off the stem grind and roll.

  11. Been a while. I always mean to document my stuff a little better, but I'm just a flake.
Had a decent summer photo grow. 2 small bag seed plants in 3 gallon containers that were started July 1st, harvested mid October.
Also started one Ripley's autoflower first week of August.
Autoflower had a volunteer seedling pop up just before I harvested it in early November.
I have no idea where it came from.

I did a little top dressing and set it up in my little mini growbox, putting it outside on a few nice sunny days. The plant took off. Beautiful tight bushy, big fat fan leaves...
Then beginning of December it started getting brown spots and yellowing.
    PXL_20211204_200246628.jpg

I pruned off all the damaged leaves, then went back to my normal feeding routine for Coco, which was some seagrow all purpose, bat guano and calmag.
The plant still seem like it was suffering and slowly deteriorating.

On top of that it was a bitch to train because it popped up in the very corner of the pot.

Today I decided to do some major root pruning by taking it out of the three gallon, rinsing as much of the cocoa off as I could and putting it in to a round two gallon. I then tied it back down, and pruned it back quite a bit.

Not sure why I have been spending so much time with this thing, I guess just cuz I can.

I'm hoping it bounces back a little, so I can throw it outside after the new year to flower, and then start a couple plants in the mini box to set out in March.

  12. It's been about two and a half weeks and the new pot and soil, and I'm still having issues.
This little plant has just become a project at this point just to see if I can figure this out.

    PXL_20220108_180943826.jpg

I picked about a half dozen of these off the plant mostly on the lower parts of the branch.

  13. Finally after a week of adding some Grow more seagrow to the mix (It has a good dose of micronutrients) the plant started to put out healthy growth that didn't turn yellow.
I threw it outside to let it do its thing.
After another week started to stretch stretch stretch,
    And
    Grow balls.
Oh well, time to start some plants to set out in March for spring harvest.

  14. I've been really bad at keeping my bag seed organized.

Throw some here, throw some there, I remember what these are sure.

For about 3 years I had two pretty unique strains, I called them red, and Xmas, that would give me a couple seeds each year, and it made it easy.

Now they've started throw off different phenotypes, so it's a little harder to identify them when they're growing.

That and the wife, is the one who smokes the stuff, doesn't even know what jar she's on half the time, and just collect some and has gets mixed up.
Combine that with some seeds she gets from the dispensary stuff she buys, and it's a mess, just a mess.

  15. So procrastination got the best of me again, I was a little late starting my winter grow to set outside the end of February to flower.

I started the last couple seeds I knew were feminized and they cracked but never shot out a root.

Not wanting to use my regular seeds, or feminized autoflowers, I bought a pair of clones at the local dispensary for 10 bucks on sale. Had some issues with those, maybe that's why the were on sale.
    Sick Clones

So I said hell with it, I normally grow two plants, but I planted four regular seeds in smaller pots in case I get some males.
And the clone seemed to come back to life, so now I have way too many plants for my little box.
