I am thinking of setting up a grow room for like 50 or more plants what kind of lighting am i going to need?
Im thinking realistically but i didnt think I would need tthat many 1000watters I figured like ten or so. What is the norm for a grow room? Ive grown little crops but i want to move on up
Im thinking that If you dont know what you need to start you may not be ready for somenthing so big. Just MHO.
You need to get a efw small grows under your belt first, you will surely have an unsuccessful few first tries like the rest of us. Also you better ahve a big wallet because the supplies for such a grow will be expensive. Heres a little layout showing the plants and the coverage of 1000 watt bulbs. You may want to take out a second mortgage for the 13 HPS and 13 MH lights and bulbs and then get a second job for the electric bill.
Maybe I am wrong but that diagraom looks like you are placing 4 plants under each 1k watt lamp? If so no wonder your first grows failed. Also, 50 plants is not that many if you are growing smaller clones.
I seen some SOG setups that have 4 plants per square foot. It's just a lot of work because of all the damn purning.
personally if I was growing that many plants I would do it outside if possible, to expensive to do indoors, its all good if you have the money but its gonna be smelly in there and i hope you dont have close neighbours
