Grow room 30°C 86°F and there's nothing I can do about it exhaust is that the max, already got 2 mini air coolers in there 2 mini fans and a medium-sized fan stays at 30°C no higher no less indica dominant, one of my strongest plants could of the main leaves are drooping only almost 2weeks Into veg, what do you think this could be the problem with the dropping and what will be the side effects from my high temperature? looks like up curling tacos thats heat stress what light do you have and how far away 30c is high esp if you cant dump the heat out anymore than you are
Only CFLs it's a 125w 5inch away an a mini 100w equivalent 20w cfl 4inch away from this particular plant CFL, I used to have these lights a lot higher but they weren't not getting enough light so had to lower may be lowered to 4 someone on this forum said he has the same CFL when he puts his 4 inches above I done mine at 5 what do you reckon? Yeah that's what second-hand lightbulbs get you my friend this one is hotter than usual got a replacement coming soon 450w cfl But for my replacement how high do you normally keep your CFL or seedlings and veg so I know for when my next morning comes, only need them in here for 4-5 weeks until their strong enough to go outside I've just put a thermometer on my light bulb and it's coming up at 50 degrees it's actually a 250 watt cfl but half of it broke through delivery so that's why I called it 125 watt light bulb as exactly half of the light works and other half doesn't replacement coming soon Sent from my SM-G935F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I'm naughty and go to 3 inch the whole time from seedling to end of veg any more than 5 and your wasting lumens
Ok perfect do you think this still is a ok rule to follow for a 450w CFL 3inches? Sent from my SM-G935F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
It might be worth it to switch to LED, it will lower your temp room. Personally, I grew in 32 33C with light on and didnt have heat stress.
Reassuring hopefully they'll be ok getting new lights coming through soon thanks guys Sent from my SM-G935F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You might already know, a quick test is to put your hands there to feel if it's too hot for the plant. Also, higher humid would help (even this might be be ideal when flowering).
Could be a long shot...but maybe the foil lined grow box is is whats keeping the temps up. I would think that foil makes a better insulator than reflector. There is a ducting(not duck tape) tape that is reflective that would be a lot thiner and much more reflective. You could line your box with that instead. And its cheaper than aluminum foil. Just a thought Grofo Grows Autos&Photos w/288v2 260w kit
Only just seen this perfect thanks mate! I'll give that a try Sent from my SM-G935F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
