I was wondering if the area I want to grow in is alright. It's 2 n half feet tall and a little bit over a foot wide. This is my first grow and I also want to know what size lights to use. Thankss
no. you can start them out for maybe 2-3weeks but after that it's not gonna work. oh and sativas are taller than indicas too.....
no, that is simply not enough space to grow a sativa. if you already have the space than you will be limited by that 2.5ft hight. A Dwarf Auto strain would probably be recommended. IF you already have the genetics and space my best advice would be to veg under 18/6 until you get your first set of 5 leaves and switch to 12/12 for flowering. even then you may have to use LST/super-cropping to keep them to hight. Also in such a confined space CFL's are probably your best bet for lighting. But IMO you need to either rethink your strain or your space.
Alright cause I was thinking sativa would be tall but wouldn't the indica be thick and shorter. Oh and do any of the online seedbanks work?. Thanks
Theres a few things you need to do if you want a good grow.. Don't get me wrong and I'll prolly get bashed by all those who grew with 1 CFL in a shoebox feeding it alkaseltzer or some shit but anyways here goes Basic things to know/have: A good grow area at least 2' wide and 4' high and 2' deep would be optimal for a private grow... What kind of strain are you going to grow... What kind of medium: Soilless, hydro, potted mix, Organic What kind of nutes you will be using throughout the whole grow Follow the above (if you grow organic use only organic ferts etc. etc.) Have at least 200$ yes I know there are hundreds of "Lowbudget, computer grows" but your not growing in a computer now are you? Knowledge can't stress this enough *surf these forums for at least 6 hours and read ALL of the stickies... What kind of lighting you will use... How long will you be vegging and Flowering... The list goes on and on but that will kick you off... Once you start answering those questions for yourself you will find ....
You will find yourself coming up with more precise/relevant questions, which at that point feel free to come back and ask... And please above all things realize that no one on this forum can give you a 100% correct answer on grows unless it's super specific, so get your generalizations down build your box and start growing... the rest will come with time and experience... Oh and make a COMPLETE detailed shopping list nothing worse than getting everything ready and forgetting soil or lights or fans or even something as simple as a Ph tester! HTH -keepgrowing- gdaddy
