I am growing in an AG but removed the hood in favor of CFL's. I money constricted so HPS isn't an option. But would 2 54 Watt 3000K CFL's be sufficient to flower 2 plants in an Aerogarden Spacesaver 6. The grow space is very tiny as the AG base is only about 1ft x 6inches.
From what ive read, this is the absolute minimum.. At least 100w - 1 plant 50w added for each additional... The more light the better..
Another question is, if I were to spend some money on lights how would this system do? Sun System HPS 150 Grow Light Fixture 150 Watt HPS - COMES WITH BULB I currently have 2 -50 watt GE Grow and Aquarium Bulbs
You can grow two plants in an AG, barely. Stick with one. And I, too am considering either yanking the AG light and getting a LED unit, it retrofitting/modding the AG hood and doing my own lighting on it.
Yeah my plants outgrew the AG a week or so ago so I stuck them unde those flourescents. I am gonna wait a week and decide if I should get the HPS light.
