Grow Plans(needs feedback)

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by MCODE, Mar 31, 2007.

  1. Hey well a buddy of mine is letting us grow in has backyard.
He said we could have 4 gardens of about 15-20 plants each
Im planning on 15 a garden, each garden a different strain.
    My questions are

Should I just plant them in regular outdoor soil, or invest in better soil.
What basic nutes should I use (nothing fancy)
(noob quesiton) is LST and Topping still applicable outdoors?
My friends buying the seeds, were planning on feminized seeds
so what strains should we take a look at, post a link.

    thanks for all the feedback

  2. first off, 15 plants per garden seems to be a lot. You should try to leave 3 feet of space in between each plant, otherwise your plants will not get enough light resulting in some dying and they wont get too tall. You cant forget about the porkchoppers either!!!

If you do plant as many as your talking about, LST'ing would be a good idea to try and hide them from neighbors. If you dont have any neighbors that would see them i say let them grow freely. Personally, i dont believe LST'ing or topping because i want them to grow to their max (but i grow where it is very discreet). *** if you have to do one of the two i say definitley go with LST over topping**

for soil, i like to use the kind thats for a vegtable garden, because i like it to not to have any additives.

Nutes are one of the most important things while growing. if you use a cheap-o nute you will have less yield as well as it not tasting too good. Thats why i use Fox Farms, it is a little pricy, but you will be happy in the fall. The fox farm nutes cost about $110 for all 6 bottles (cha ching, Beastie Bloom, open sesame, Tiger Bloom, Grow Big, and Big Bloom). My first grow i used miricle-gro, and it tasted like shit, and i only got 4 ounces from 8 plants. With fox farm i got a pound with 10 female plants and got 3/4 of a pound)

IMO fememized seeds are BS, just get things like purple #1 (easy grow for beginners)

    Hope this helps.

    HAPPY GROWING:cool:
