Hey GC, I'm going to do my first grow shortly and need a little advice. I am currently not smoking because of money and tolerance, so I started cleaning out my smoking stuff and throwing shit away when I came across a bag of seeds I put away. I believe they are seeds from a sack of mids and I have about 20 of them. Now, I really have no use for these so I'm going to plant them between a straight line of trees (behind my apartment......). They will have a nice opening for sunlight and watering/caring for them discreetly would not be a problem. I leave for work very early in the morning, so the latest they'd be watered in the morning would be 8 (earliest 4am) and would water again in the afternoon/evening. Now, I'm not worried about getting caught simply because there is a nice secluded spot that dog-walkers and kids don't go near. It is a spot of trees behind a little pond that separates my complex from some houses (about 1000-1500 feet clearance). However, I'm a little worried they could get big and out of hand (if they can grow at all). But, worst case scenario, I'll just destroy them. this project is not too important to me, but some free smoke I can sell on the side would be nice. So, my question is this. Do I have this right? -germinate indoors -Move seeds to Styrofoam cup for about a week watering 2-3 times a day -Once grown a little, transport to outdoor sight not packing the soil too tight. Water 2-3 times daily -Since I can't control sunlight, all I can do is hope for the best. -Should begin to start budding on its own?? Thanks in advance for your replies. I would feel so accomplished if I pulled this off discreetly. Honestly, I would prefer to grow indoors but my brother is an asshole and would get mad. Unless I finish my friends pc grow box and store it in my closet...hmm.
Yes Absolutely NOT. A cannabis plant should never be watered that much. After germination you put seeds in damp soil....for the first few days you dont even need to water. Absolutely NOT again. After the plant gets transplanted to a bigger pot. you only water when the soil gets dry Yes Yes No
Bag seed is always UN predictable. Wouldn't water so much. Just once every 2-3 days. With "mids" you looking at 7-8 months for a finnished product and they very well get extremely tall when competing for sun. Be safe best of luck.
MJ needs intense full sun, not just the absence of freezing temps. Days are too short in winter, wait until March to start then grow like crazy.
The outdoor cycle can start as early as late feb all the way to as late as November but you cannot start outdoor between October and February. It is not relevant whether their is enough light or temperature as the timespan of light during the day is not enough hours (well really light cycle based on time spent in dark) ; their is too much time spent during night for the hormones of marijuana to vegatate. If you do germinate a plant and start it it will either grow extremely slow: so slow the growth is not worth it. Also the plants may be stunted by the time they are ready to vegatate in later months. I know this from not only research but personal winter experience. Don't waste your seeds. Try out a cfl grow in a box during winter for some first hand experience and test your luck and skill come outdoor season in a few more months
