Hey, first time posting. I have a new op I started with my buddy, it's my third time growing but first time in a new location. Woking with a 10x10 main room with a 2x8 seedling/mother room. Aiming for a staggered cycle with a crop every 6 weeks. Thinking of using 4 coralife 54w fluors in the mother room (10,000 lumens) with 4 600w MHs in the main room. Any advice on how I could ensure the harvest cycle? Or perhaps a more energy efficient setup? (We were originally thinking of using a 1000w HPS for flowering with a 600w for veg). Starting with 60 Train Wreck plants from seed. Thanks! Pics coming soon.
Check out SOG growing. that along with some cloning will cut your reliance and time with making beans. With 3-4 mothers you could cut 60 clones from every 4-6 weeks if needed.
You could save some bucks by setting up two flowering rooms with opposing 12/12 schedules (one room is lit while the other is dark) and flip-flop the lights using one set of ballasts for both rooms.
So change of plans. Wanted to know what y'all thought about having 2 600w MHs on a light rail instead of the original 4. Will this be sufficient for around 60 plants to grow? About 20w per plant, about 100,000 lumens altogether.
If it was me would run atleast 3 HPS lights, I currently grow in a 5'x10' room with 2 600 HPS with vertizontal reflectors, I still get a lot of stretch in the plants, even leaving lights closer than I feel comfy, and feel I need more supplemental lights to the lower and side buds. Dont forget the more light you have the better the bud. if you are wanting to cheapen your startup, the light movers as opposed to just buying the proper amount of light for flower side does not make sense to me, if you were thinking of light movers on Veg side different story.
