Grow lights blowing out?

    I have a 1,000 watt HPS light in a 6" cool tube. It currently is not being cooled and the 2 bulbs have blown out each only lasting 2 weeks. Do I have a shit product or is it because the bulb is getting WAY too hot from not getting cooled inside the cool tube?

    Most likely because of the heat

    It's not the heat. I run my 1k without my fan on half the time.
