is there any way i can calcualte, knowing how much my electricity provider charge me per kw/h, how much it costs to have a 600w light on for say 18 hours per day?
Real easy : 600 Watts x Hours a Day (18) = 10,800 10,800 Hours / 1,000Kwh = 10.8 (This is what you use per hour in Kwh) 10.8 KWh x Days (31) = 334.8 Multiply that number by what ever your compny charge here in FL is .06331 and .05799 thats energy and fuel Here in FL a 600 Watts for 18 will be aprox. = $21.19 (Fuel) $19.41 (Eenergy) 600 watts = $40 here in FL for 18 Hours in Flowering is going to be even less. Hope this help.
If you don't feel like doing the math, or just suck at it... This handy little tool from Advanced Nutrients will do it for you... Advanced Nutrients | General Hydroponics | Hydroponic Supplies Good luck.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST USE NOMINAL RMS VOLTAGE NOT THE RATED WATTAGE YOU SEE WHEN YOU BUY, THEN USE OHMS LAW TO CALCULATE AMP DRAW. You will find this in the manual for the light or if unsure ask the manufacturer.
