  4. Hey man there making changes to the MJ law here in Canada. From what I understand is that if you are caught with 15gr or less your going to get a fine. They are relaxing the possesion law. But if you are caught growing MJ you may very well end up with some jail time. They are being much tougher on the growers these days in Canada. Be silent , be stealth and be careful.

  5. yeah they are starting to crack down on growers, i think they should just legalize and stop being such whiny bitches.....but i know it would be serious concequince to get caught, but they do have different levels of tolerance, depending on how many plants, if your planning to sell, etc. does anyone know that crap? or know a website where i could find it??

  6. They're making huge efforts to get growers now. I mean its not so bad in the sense that your neighboor probably won't rat you out, but if word gets to the popo you're in a ton of shit.

  7. If you're caught in possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana or 1 gram or less of hash, you could face a maximum of six-months imprisonment and/or a fine of $1,000. Currently, if you grow marijuana, you could be punished by up to seven-years imprisonment. The law now makes no reference to the number of plants being cultivated.

What changes to the law are being considered?

The Government of Canada believes that while marijuana use must be discouraged, possession of small amounts should not result in a criminal record. Under proposed reforms, a ticketing scheme would apply in such cases. Even though you'd be issued a fine, it would still be illegal to possess marijuana.

To help ensure the law distinguishes between those who grow small quantities of cannabis for personal use versus those who grow for commercial purposes, the Government of Canada is also proposing new cultivation offences. Large-scale growers with more than 50 plants would face up to 14-years imprisonment.

The law - current or proposed - regarding drug trafficking remains unchanged. Drug trafficking is a very serious crime. In the most severe cases, possession for the purposes of trafficking can result in penalties of up to life imprisonment.
