Grow journal Bag seeds

  1. Half way dry Peyote Critical Nug hanging...I hang my plant whole and NEVER pre-trim...they dry a little slower that way and curing is achieved faster once it jarred up....I found that they ultimately smell and taste better too using that method......Those curing BASKETS (Fruit baskets) are only convenient for large volumn/commercial crops....Micro grows and any smaller grow, benefits from hanging full plants and post dry trimming...I'm sure many will say their buds are fine with pretrimming and fruit baskets, and I'm sure they are....But when it comes down to subtle differences, the hanging full plant, post trim works better....AND, cures way faster.....Its a fact that pretrim buds need longer time in the jar to cure...its real easy to get a mild hay taste doing pretrim...and need more time curing in the jar to get rid of it....Hanging full plants have a lot more moisture in the stalks, and leaves to get rid of during drying....A cpl extra days of drying makes a huge difference....You got to have a minimum of 6 days of drying...if they are drying any faster, it add a BUNCH of extra cure time to get the flavors correct...And if they dry too quick (3-4 days) sometimes you cant cure the bad taste out...A nice 7-8 day dry hanging a whole plant (untrimmed), will cure up in a week in the jar...When I say 7-8 day, that doesn't mean just let them hang that long if they ALREADY dried earlier....it means NEEDING 7-8 days to get it dry....Ppl use different methods but thats the best IMO...
This strain is going to have INSANE jar appeal...thick surface resins and good colored buds....Cant get the lid off the mason jar fast enuf to stick your nose it jar appeal...LOL...YT

    Lookin good yankee!!
So great news and bad news...I think we’ve got a new place! A few towns over, only downside is I’ll have to hold off growing there for a little while..I’m just about certain my mom won’t let me keep a little grow box here..well who knows, if I get them in the flower box before we go maybe j can convince her To let them finish...but if I can’t bring it all over immediately..then, as unfortunate as it is..they’ll all have to hit the trash:(
However that means that when we reboot..Ittl be game on, I’m talking HID, tent, the whole nine yards...but I’ll keep y’all updated and when we do start growing there, my girlfriends cousin, who I’ve known for a few years now will be helping out/learning the trade..anyways..I’ll at least finish off this Clone B, and she’s gonna throw down sum nugs, she’s 22 days in and almost bigger than the finished clone A

  4. Since your still here for a little bit, this is that Berry Bomb Auto plant I have under a T5 (4 bulb) light.....earlier today, I tied down the 6 shoots I had on it....1 of the 6 shoots was being left underneath the others....Now its back under full light....I doubt I will need to do anymore serious LST to it.......They have tiny popcorn flowers....Since I am NOT an auto grower, I see subtle differences in flowering.....When this 1st showed a few pistils on the tips, they continued to elongate as if they were still vegging, but dont have that insane stretchout as photoperiod plants do....Thats a good thing to add some physical size to the plant, without getting lanky or too tall....So far, its doing well.....the shoots all tuned up to the light within a cpl hours of putting them horizontal....Now, even if they were to stretch another foot, they have room to do that without shading or crowding itself in any way.....hopefully she fills in nicely....Never smoked Berry Bomb but its suppose to be sweet as candy....They have it listed as 15-20% THC....pretty damn good for an
auto...Autos have come a long way but still not my thing.....YT 20180522_231803.jpg

  5. I’ll still be active throughout the move. And I was thinking I might bring like 1 clone or seedling to the new place to keep under a cfl till the smoke clears or something...who knows. Anyways..this morning I threw out all the clones that weren’t in use..so all the ones that weren’t selected (like 6 or 7). Which made room for the others to get some more light, split between the top and bottom veg areas. Hoping to get them into flower in the next week or so...maybe we’ll be able to finish them off

  6. You could do what I have in this picture....Its my Blueberry re-vegging....it was a freebie seed and thot it t would get too big to fit well with my others....SO, I never cloned it....came to find out, it stayed pretty short (indica pheno), AND it got some MONSTER tops....Then It smoked nice and is a very potent phenotype...I cut it out the bucket with a long sharp serrated knife so the new trimmed root system fit the container I have for it (another 1.5 gal waste basket like my Auto plant is in)....left a little green on a few branches.....put it back on 24hrs a day (weak lighting), and fed it with grow formula....Soon, new shoots will emerge from the little bit of green I left on some branches...Pic of revegging plant (just did that this morning)....I have it off to the side from stronger light...they need WEAK light when re-vegging...pic of buds that came off it....It can yield more with better attention to prunning..YT 20180523_181639.jpg 20180523_181720.jpg

  7. Started some trimming on dry plants.....1st one was my little Bubble Bomb plantlet.....It ended up yielding 24.4gm...basically only 1/8 shy of a full zip...Fantastic for a little plant that was rootbound in a small container, old, and prunned back MANY times....A real sleeper when it comes to yields....buds are DENSE and super sticky to the core...very deceiving.... 20180525_094912-1-1.jpg

  8. I had to post this....Was getting ready to twist up a frosty Peyote Critical nug with a piece of scissor hash crumbled up in it....It looked so pretty before I started rolling it, I HAD to take a picture....Its now after all that fun stuff and I'm pleasantly BAKED...that joint will last me for 3 more Bake Sessions....as potent as it is already, that pc of hash REALLY upped the game!!!....YT 20180525_114702-1(1).jpg )

  10. The White Widows are classic weak light victims ....Thin, elongated stems with kind of wimpy leaves....even if they were your same veg area, maybe there was a dead zone spot in there where light was not getting too very well...I would bet your new CFL bulbs straighten solve that......
The algae on you Hempy solo is usually because the surface is wet too long....It just shows up SO WELL on the white perlite too...many mediums have it, but its just harder to see on something not as WHITE.....It really not a big deal, UNLESS its due to not letting the mix dry btwn watering....Mine have it right now but I'm watering EVERY DAY....I have to water daily cause they are now drinking a lot of it...GETTING BIG even for Solo cups....I transplant tmrw though......If you really want it gone, just put a lid on them after watering....Cut a circle of some white plastic slightly bigger than the solo cup top...them cut a slot half way thru that (edge to center) wide enuf to fit around the stalk...just slide it on after watering, and it will block the light....reusable too you make it out of a plastic....Like I said, its really no big deal to have SOME surface algae there....you can also just tip the cup and let that surface perlite roll off and sprinkle in some fresh stuff...
ANYTHING wet with fertile water that is being subjected to a light is a breeding ground for all kinds of goodies to grow.....long as the root zone is clean....Products like Aqua guard (beneficial bacteria) or SM-90 (organic disinfectant) are great to keep unwanted bacteria, algae, pythiums, etc, in check in your root zones.....YT

  11. another observation, top off any cups that have low medium levels soon as the plants are tall enuf....Otherwise they dont have a lot of medium for the roots...Roots will emerge higher on the stalks soon as you add more...

  13. Pic from yesterday...morning after replanting....Had those cuttings for 9 weeks!.....they were READY to get planted....They perk right up in cpl days....WELL rooted and have had a cpl toppings...probably 6-8 tops on each right now...All I will do now, is top any rogue branches on each that might try to get too long, and there is always one or 2....I shoot for 10 main tops on each of my 6 plants...that fills my space perfectly and gives me the best yields...the one bucket with 2 plants are the same cut...it tends to veg slow and stay short, so I put 2 in it..thats fine to do with the same plant but can cause problems with 2 different strains..YT View attachment 2451641

Hey everyone! We’re at day 30 in the flower box::
    Image1527653592.185833.jpg
12/12 babies FINALLY showing sex! Aaaand they’re both female!
    1 and 2 resp.
    Image1527653694.561987.jpg
    Image1527653715.543189.jpg
To be honest tho...30 days to show sex..this will be my last time doing the 12/12 seed method..much rather see preflowers in 40 days after vegging For 30 days and seeing flowers on multiple, stronger tops.
    Clone B is lookin great..
    Image1527653766.550669.jpg
These seem to be flowering really quickly..the last one A, was done in 45 days flower..but I DID throw it in really early..idk.. but it’s been 30 days for B and she’s definitely finishing up.. her leaves are yellowing at the bottom and there’s a lot of cloudy trichs.

    ......

    Image1527654367.679208.jpg

In the veg area..were looking great. I buried The seedlings to a normal height.
    Image1527654161.104229.jpg
The 6-top Clone is cooking..but the bottom branches have some catching up to do..
    Image1527654183.804723.jpg
The chosen ones are coming up nicely..a little longer till they go up flower.
    Image1527654324.763935.jpg
Most have about 1 inch or so in new growth, going to let the stragglers catch up during this last veg feeding, then one more plain watering before the switch.
    Image1527654303.891985.jpg

Flower nutes will be here this week, I’m hoping that some flower feeding will allow these clones to really kick ass compared to the past ones

  15. Looks great....you still got to add some size before flowering...want to make sure that they all have started to enter into a rapid veg stage...THAT will ensure they have that nice stretch...That stretch gives them the nice long cola...Remember, you rather have to bend some over, than just have a cpl marbles on them....usually by the time a cutting gets 3 inches of NEW growth, it's starting to grow fast and will go to work for you when you flip the timer....I would guess those would end up right about a foot tall from what I have seen them do....Perfect size for your flower box and lighting....Also would just about max out the solo cups....Since you bought some flower nutes, there is NO worry that they deplete the organic nutrients in the soil mix you started with.....I could probably fit about 6 of those multi-top plantlets I showed you into your flower box....that was a eigth under 1 oz....So, there is no reason why you couldn't pull at least 4 oz out of there....It all about hitting that perfect time to flip the timer...I bet that cutting puts out a nice full cola given the chance, with 3 or 4 nice secondaries too...YT

  16. I noticed my attachment never showed up a cpl post ago....It was of replanting this new crop....I will try it again..I have not tucked away all my air lines yet........with Hempy buckets, roots are submerged for a period if time based on the size and growth rate of the plant...ANY TIME roots are submerged, it benefits to put in an airstone (IMO)....Basic Hempy design DOES NOT call for one, and good bud can be grown...BUT, if I can give them an extra edge, I do so...The reservoir obviously is not chilled, as with DWC set ups, so being submerged for any amount of time is not the best condition....NO ONE would run a DWC bucket with bubbling their water, SO WHY would it NOT benefit the reservoir in a Hempy bucket....Roots DONT LIKE being submerged without aeration, PERIOD, regardless of how long they are submerged.....I use a cpl inches of expanded clay or similar in the bucket bottoms too...Roots enjoy that more than running straight medium right to the bottom....at mimimum, I would put straight perlite in the bottom, but prefer the grow rock....It also works better with airstones....I have a TON of extra equipment collected over the years and have a half dozen air pumps of various sizes...So, no big deal to put a stone in each bucket...A lot of little 'extras' adds up in the end...I have run them without airstones and got good bud, BUT there is an obvious difference, ESPECIALLY with veg rates....Late veg and early flower stretch is a lot more intense....Happier roots equals happier plants....When dumping buckets after, there is a larger, thicker mass of roots on top of, and around the airstones, compared to the rest of the area....wonder why..LOL...YT 20180530_013246.jpg

  17. I tossed that Berry Bomb auto into the main crop...It never dawned on me that my new crop will be vegging 3-4 weeks before I go back into flower, AND my auto can be basking under the halide instead of the T5....My T5 is a high kelvin, so it's putting out a blue/white spectrum, so might as well give it the intesity of the HID...It may have to finish up back under the T5....It's flowering but I dont think it will quite finish in time under the halide...Still just an experiment for me since I don't do autos, but might as well try to max it out if I can.....Shitty pic, but I got one of it...cpl of the larger shade leaves got a little yellow....I know autos are much more nute sensitive compared to photoperiod, so I been keeping it low (500ppms), She says she wants more, so gonna up it to 700ppms.....Safe to do since its on flower nutes now...YT 20180531_213240.jpg
