So I finally got my seeds in from Attitude seed bank after only 7 days. Very pleased with prices and delivery time. Attached picture is 3rd full day of the grow. Tell me what you think! Hoping to update this regularly, but life can be crazy so who knows lol. Breeder is TH seeds and Darkstar strain, supposedly a very potent one. Hope all goes smoothly seeing as this is my first grow ever.
Looks great so far man, what kind of setup you using? outdoor grow? Indoor? Sun light, synthetic light? What kind of nutrients you got in mind?

And as far as nutes go I'm just trying to keep everything organic. One of the biggest reasons I started this grow was to make sure I have the most organic med possible. So if you have any recommendations lemme know sorry I kinda rambled there's the ADD for ya lol
You need to do some more research my friend before you waste those beans. You are most certainly going to have up your lights, why not just get a 400 watt hps? Whats your soil composition?
Ive done a fair share of research, not gonna say im an expert but I know the does and donts. And im upping my lights today actually, I wish I could do HPS lights there just a little outa my price range next grow ill probably use them though.
If you are going to use CFLS make sure to keep them ONLY 2 inches away from touching the plant, get you some bat guano, and worm castings for your organic soil mix. Also, make sure not to over water, only water every 3 or 4 days. The closer you keep the light the stronger the stem will be, if it is trying to stretch for the light, it will be tall and lanky. Also, make sure when using CFLS once it gets bigger to spread the lights out around the plant, have them above, on the sides under, EVERYWHERE. For one plant also, you should look into making a little box, covered in some reflective material to increase the effectiveness of your CFLS.
Thanks for all the info man, when I transplant into a bigger pot I plan on having a mix of worm castings, bat guano and a couple other organic manures. As far as cfls im just gonna put them everywhere the bigger it gets and stick to the 6500K for veg and then to either only 2700K for flowering or a mix of both 6500K and 2700K. And have you had any experience with topping? Do you recommend it?
Thanks for the input, had a brain fart earlier I knew thats what had to be done just wasnt thinking....
1 Bale of ProMix BX 2.5 Cups AgLime 1.5 Cups Magnesium Sulfate 30 lbs. EWC 1 lb. Mykos 1 'Bag' Alaskan Forest Humus 10 Gallons par-boiled rice hulls 4 Cups Trace Elements 1 Bag Mushroom Compost Theres a good base, ammend appropriately for respective stages. Do you think it will dramatically change my yield if I go with hps/mh? And thanks for that soil mix I just might try that out.
Well, as long as its not an auto, you can top, I would HIGHLY suggest, Low stress training. Look into it, its very very awesome, you pretty much pin the plant down and make it grow in a circle, causing a massive amount of bud spots, and maximizing your yield
Damn no ones sad it.. That clear cup might cause light to get to the roots bro.. I would replant that pretty soon. You can add too much light.. But thats only if you are tryin to cram 50 CFL's into a pc case. Get more light your plant wont stretch as much an it might even love u more... Dutchie

LST dont create more budsites homie.. It allows light to get to(what would be) the bottom of the plant. ie: under the canopy Dutchie

Dutchie[/quote] Oh shit dude I'll replant that first thing in the morning. What happens if they get light? And I plan on probably having 8 or 10 cfls cause I want the plant to love the crap outa me.
Kill the roots - kill the plant. All you gotta do is love it first! Spend the time an money. Do the research an i swear to u it pays off. For example.. (10x) CFL Bulbs (VEG) at $3 a piece = $30 (10x) CFL Bulbs (FLOWER) = $30 For $60 you can get a decent grow light.. Maybe T5 High Output. IDK where u plan to grow but u can def start an finish wit Fluorecents.. Dutchie
This is wrong LST def gives you more bud-sites, as well as growing with only T5's will not allow you to flower or produce the proper harvest. Flouresant ight only produces in the spectrum above 7500 Kelvin which is only adequate for seeds clones and vegging. Even with a 7500 super blue MH you might still not be able to Flower. So please don't fact drop until you know wtf your talking about. \ Also LST will give you more bus-sites because of the fact that the lower part of your plant is getting more light. not to mention the redistribution of growth hormones as well as the plants overall hormones to redistribute the hormones from the main top cola to produce strong more distributed hormones on the bottom colas which in turn with an extra week or two of veg will indefinitely produce 15% to 25% bigger harvest and in some cases even 15% with the right indica! check out my first grow although didn't finish this is an adequate depiction of the abilities of LST!
Thanks for the back up man. I have a huge favor to ask of you, Xandar, what light would YOU suggest for flowering. I am using about 1500 watts of CFLs for vegging. I don't have the money for a new light yet, but Im hoping to get enough from this small grow to invest in a BIG POWERFUL light, which one would you suggest to flower and yield my maximum amount?
