Hey guys. I'm having a little issue recently. I went from growing using a grow tent under a 600 watt hps. But things have changed recently. I am now using a 3x2 space under 8 100 watt eqiuv CFLS putting out 1100 lumens each. I have vegged under CFLS before with great success. But now I have to find a way to flower without the use of a hid or hps setup. How do I flower under CFLS. Is the end result less dense and less potent buds. Please help guys any advice would be awesome. I have been growing for years. But now need the help downgrading to cfl for flower. I'm stressing. I've also been lst training to keep plants short and bonsai like. To maximize use of my space. But how do I flower now.
if you don't have hps, you just have to make due with what you have. everything is the same. the lights won't penetrate very far into the canopy, so keeping them short is the way to go. without the heat from an hid set-up, you're not gonna have a lot of evaporation of the medium like you ordinarily would. so you may end up with a very wet medium come feeding time. you may want to cut back on nute strength too, since their won't be the same growth going on with the less powerful cfl's...
