  2. Nice. how many plants are you going to grow?

  3. great job badgr loving the set up very professional:hello: .How did you make that cool tube?

  4. Whoa, thanks for all the replys. I'm on my way out the door to go get some sort of glue or foam orsomething to fill all my little holes/lite leaks. I'll keep this thread updated with pics. Thanks for all your help. :D

  5. Are you using the top part for clones? And if you are using the bottom for vegging and flowering, are you gunna split it up with some plywood? Also, are you going to use soil or hydro?

  6. nice setup. Yeah that cool tube sounds like a good idea.

  7. Here are some more pictures of the Fridge. I have done numerous things to finish it up. I'm going to post more pictures with descriptions later but check out these for now. Still have to design the flowering chamber hydro setup and clean up and refine it a bit.

  8. just gets better and better badgr. In your 3rd pic, what is that box that the pipes are running into?A noise buffer? Is your flowering chamber going to be another fridge?

  9. That Box is my carbon scrubber/ exhaust, the system i used is a passive exhaust, two inlets and two exhaust tubes it pulls the air through the chambers at a rate of around 4 cycles of fresh air a minute. The piece of paper is a demo of the inlet and how much suction it has. I used the multiple small fan method for noise control and for power savings. The idea seems to be working in all tests so far. The cool tube does not go through the carbon filter b/c the air in it never touches the plants. In and out. I am going to grow my clones and a bonsi mother in the top chamber and I will use the bottom of the fridge as the flowering chamber. I will raise the plants to the light using the stock fridge shelf. I don't like adjusting the light height b/c then you have to deal with flex duct and other problems. Here are some pics of the filter system, it's not finished yet but it will work for now. it's out of sight and sounds just like a regular fridge.

  10. I assume those two bulbs are both the HPS and MH lights. Since ur gunna want one for the flowering and one for the veg and u gunna seperate the fridge with like a board down the middle? I mean they both need different light cycles. Oh and when you're finished with the hydro system...post more pictures =]

  11. is that glass around your HPS lights? if so where did you get that glass. i have been looking for something similar for my grow but i cant find anything.

  12. MH and HPS combined makes a great flower chamber light that is full spectrum the MH helps the plant and buds grow denser and more compact. I will not be splitting the chamber.

The Glass i use is made by pyrex its called a bake a round.

Sorry this is short but i just typed up a super long reply to u guys and then i acdentlly clicked back and it erased everything before i could submit it!

Here are some pics of my new changes. I still need to refine them but its a start.
What they are is a hole/ container for the mother plant to sit in so it willl have enough room to grow a good bonsi size. I'm going to refine and clean it up and make a heatshield/ reflector for above and between the cool tube and other components.

I also ran a intake line from the a/c and it works perfictly at keeping the temps around 75. Let me know what u think.

  13. Without splitting the chamber how do you force flowering? I'm sure that 12/12 is not going to be good for the plants in veg

  14. U 18/6 untill they are the size I want then switch the timer to 12/12.
    To simplify
Veg Chamber (top) will be 22/2
Flowering Chamber (bottom) will start at 18/6 then switch to 12/12 when the plants are ready.

It will work, I know b/c this is how I have allways done things.

    UPDATE
    new changes made today:
made a tray in the veg chamber to help with space and looks
made a reflector/ heat shield in flowering chamber for same reasons.

  15. That is creative. +rep

  16. where can i buy this glass?

  17. Ooooh...I thought the top was just for clones and mothers to chill, and then the bottom was veg and flowering. I thought u were gunna have continuous cycles where there will always be plants in clones, veg, and flower... my bad =P

  18. No you are absolutly right. The top is just for clones, mothers and will be home to the plants for a small part of the veg cycle. I understand what your saying. I wish I would have thought of that but oh well. I don't know how much more i can squeeze out of this fridge.

  19. I don't know much about cool tubes, but I assume air flows through them to cool down the lights. You could remedy the situation by sacrificing some of the cool tubes efficiency. You could split the large chamber into 2 sections with some ply wood and cut a whole for the cool tube to run through it. Then would would place a dark mesh screen in the middle of the tube, so air can get through it and light wont penetrate all that well. Of course u would need 2 smaller hydro systems for each side (if ur doing hydro) and then u would need a seperate timer for each light. Wouldnt be that hard.

  20. I don't know about that. I think it will wrk just fine. I like your idea though. But your missing my main point; I use the MH and HPS for flowering. It makes for a much denser final product.
