so i was thinking on how to set up my lights... im growing in my brothers closet, and live with my rents. i could tap into the electrical box to get the circuit for the lights but i know my dad would find it a little suspicious, so i was thinking. Im pretty handy when it comes to electrical so ill be okay doing that part Get a male plug...run wire from plug into light socket then to another light socket (etc.) Continuous circuit for about 4-6 lights. What i am worried about is plugging all of this into the wall. Do you think that it would overload it or be okay?
Do the math, take how every many watts in total and divide it by the voltage, Im assuming your basic 110v-120v line,to determine your amps. Then, what ever circuit you will be running on, check the box for amperage ratings aswell as the terminals max load.
