  1. Hello all, i have always referenced this site for advise and trouble shooting but never joined til now.
for this year i will be growing outdoors and will be getting seeds from the tude
    my list is as follows:

    Barneys farm liberty haze
    g13 labs auto ak
    dna genetics holy grail kush
    barneys farm g13 haze
    auto seeds ultra lemon haze
    blue dream
    phatty fruity
    dutch haze
    skunk #1
    g13 labs pineapple express
    dutch passion blueberry
    sour diesal # 2
    super lemon haze
    hawaiian snow
    chemdog
    pineapple chunk,

and probably around 10 more consisting of autos and feminized, all the above are feminized and some autos.

i have a great soil mix i will be using, will disclose if this gets enough attention, and will be using ff ferts the three pack, and cha ching, open sesame, and something else i forget at the moment lol.

the soil will be a 1.5:1 mic of ocean forest and light warrior, and then a sub soil with that mix + alot more stuff.

any advise and tips would be much appreciated.
    thanks

  2. Sweet! Welcome Man!

  3. It's beastie bloomz lol and for the autos I would suggest using only those ferts and no big bloom or tiger bloom, also a good rooting agent to help those roots out. I used the flowering nutes 1/2 strength on my autos I know it seems like very little but it will do the job.

  4. @cannabutterking thank you for the advice, what rooting agent do you recomend and when to apply? have you ever grown any of these auto and what kind of yield do you think i should expect? im just trying to have early smoke waiting for the others to finish lol :D

  5. also another question i had for the autos was hole size, what would you recomend? for the reg fem i was going to do 24inches wide by like 12-14 inches deep and advice would be appreciated :gc_rocks:

  6. I used "great white shark" I think its AN, I got it for free with some other nutes I used it through the second and third week then started the open sesame. I grew Dr. Feelgood from Short Stuff, although I had a disaster with males cause I got regs not fem, the smoke came out decent. They were about 12-14" tall started in October finished December outdoors in a greenhouse. A lot of people seem to have good luck with the DNA genetics 60 day wonder, and world of seeds autos. Claiming up to 350g a square foot in sog. I went with Short stuff cause it was my first rodeo with Attitude and they were pretty affordable.

Hole size? You mean spacing between plants or pots? When growing outdoors I build up mounds for the plants, my general rule of thumb when using mounds and not rows is about 48" diameter. If your talking about pots, for autos most recommend using 5gal pots, and they start the plants in the pots they will be harvested from to avoid shocking and stunting the plants.
Edit: for rows outdoors I usually do about 24" wide and my spacing is always shotty.

  8. i will be digging holes in existing soil not that good, and replacing with my soil mix, what i meant with those dimmension was how much good soil to use i guess. im not using pots

  9. I would suggest the size of a 5gal bucket for an auto. Sorry bout the misunderstanding.

  10. If this is your first grow, and an outdoor grow. I would suggest not growing so many strains.

If it were me, I would stick to like 2-3 strains....like 5 of each

  11. Good advice, I didn't think about that. Bagseed would be best I botched my first couple grows from being overzealous and impatient.

  12. wow really useful advice and tips guys thanks! also when is opportune time to plant @project ice

  13. Depending on how high up north you are.....I would say middle to end of april

Im in jersey and im going to plant the first week of april

  14. farther north you go shorter the season you get

our frosts in my area are like april 15th to sept 7th some years

and what was mentioned about the amount of strains

stick to 1-3 strains and get to know what they like

if your in new york(upstate) or states around it you want something resistant to mold and flowers in 8 weeks or less

  15. good point, ill probly just do like 2-3, something else ive been thinking about, lolipopping opinions? and when you water(silly question) do you water on top of plant or at base of plant (not on the leaves or later on buds) wouldnt that be the best way theyll still soak up the nutes and fertz

  16. Water at the base, but you can foliar fertilize with a spray bottle at half strength if you do I recommend rinsing with ph'ed water the next day.

Never foliar feed in the hottest part of the day or at night. During the day you can cause burns and at night you can cause mold.

  17. you dont wanna water at the base it encourages roots to not expand.

water around edges and whole top of soil as you can.

bottom feeding also works well but keeping your holding tray clean is important(can grow mold and mildew and acquire slime and sludge)
i normally get a tray bigger than the pot throw water i feed them in it and let it soak from the bottom up

  18. deer protection, other then cages or noticiable amendments, ya dig lol

  19. anyone have experience with deer repelents, im trying to avoid using cages, any thoughts? recomendations

  20. just pee around the perimeter lol..

nah but here is a easy one

Pour 4 tablespoons of cayenne pepper and 1 cup of white vinegar into a soup pot. Bring the mixture to a boil and leave it for one minute.

Set a coffee filter in a small bowl and pour the vinegar and pepper solution over the filter. Discard the filter and the solids.

Add 2 cups of water and a half cup of peeled garlic to a blender and blend until smooth. Set a second coffee filter in a second bowl and pour the garlic mixture through the filter. Discard the filter and solids.

Pour the pepper solution and the garlic solution into the reservoir of a three-gallon garden sprayer.

Fill the sprayer reservoir the rest of the way with water. Screw the reservoir into the garden sprayer and gently shake it to mix all the ingredients. Spray the repellent on any plants you want to protect, and along the edge of your garden or lawn.
