You are right! NOT all grinders comes with screens. In fact- most don't. If your wanting to store kief.. i would def. suggest getting one with a screen. Suprisingly, the buildup of keif starts right away. Be patient with it- its tempting to scrape away right away... but wait a few days and youll have a lovely amount of yummy goodness.

Here is my setup for getting the kief...

After grinding a pretty piece of bud... sit there for awhile just shaking the grinder. It will allow the keif to fall down the screen to the bottom.

Once you clean the screen.. DO NOT forget to clean the grindy part- as well as the part that holds the bud... kief build up will be found there as well. You'll be suprised.. we were cleaning out the grinder to put the kief away in our special "kief bottle" (medicine bottle) and we found SO MUCH by taking a toothpick and scraping around the areas of the gringy part and the storage part.

If you dont have the money to buy a grinder with a screen.. (they tend to be more expensive.. NOT TOO MUCH.. but if your on a certain budget ya might be scrapped for cash)... kief buildup will still occur. No worries.

dude, just buy one from ebay. I got mine shipped in today for $17. It's a 4 piece metal space case grinder with 70 teeth and a kief catcher It even has an 8ball design on it

 

Heya- no problem! Everyones gotta start somewhere. Ive learned a lot about grinders in the past few years, ya have ANY more questions- dont hesitate to ask. Our grinder is our familes best friend.. (TheColonel knows a lot as well.. if i cant answer anything... the mr. def. can)

I would buy a metal magnetic one with a kief catcher- they are the best quality.
