I just got a new grinder, but i got it on Amazon, for 7 bucks, i guess this is what i get for being cheap haha. but there is a chip on one of the teeth and I was wondering if this was safe. I dont want little pieces aluminum to fall into my bud. Its kind of on the top of the tooth so i was thinking it wouldnt be a problem but I just want to make sure.
in a worst case scenario, a bit ends up in your bowl/joint and never gets hot enough to affect the metal and cause a chemical reaction releasing Aluminum's toxic chemicals that cause Alzheimers.
If you're really worried about it hit it with a dremel with grinding bit or you could also use a fine tooth file. Problem solved. Best thing to do is ditch the grinder all together and use your fingers.
Grind some paper, and see if you have any metal shards in it If its a joint/bowl, I'd be worried, if its a vape or bong, not too big of a deal
dammit i bought the same grinder for $15 i got ripped. if it has a chipped tooth, then take it to the dentist.
yeah ill mostly be using this for joints, but i just grinded some paper and there were some little metal shards, but not too many, but they were definitely too small to notice in bud. ill try and find something i can file it down with.
I would sand it down or file it, hit it with a dermal if you have it. But it shouldn't bother your bud grinding at all. Nothing wrong with being cheap, ghetto rig that sucker!
id really only be worried smoking bowls or a dry pipe if you smoke a j and worse case scenario there really is a chip or something it wouldn't burn and just fall off with the ash, and bongs and vapes are fine
