Grinder Questions

Grinders are a great investment. If you want really finely ground bud, grind it for a long time. If you want bud that would be good for a bowl, only grind it a little. Either way, grinders are great.

 

Get a Chromium Crusher off ebay man. Great shit! Yes, you can use the grinded up herb with a bowl or you could roll it. Personally, I use my little pipe or my friend's bong.

 

Chromium Crusher is a good grinder for the price, really any grinder with a screen will do.

 

Yeah, the Chromium Crusher is your best deal, especially as a first. How fine it will be ground up typically depends on the grinder. Usually the smaller the holes, paired with more teeth, depends on how finely it will be ground. The Mendo Mulcher (SP?) is known for being very fine.

You will want a 4pc grinder. This allows for an area that grinds. A screen tray to catch the weed, but also allowing trichomes to fall thru. And finally a tray that will collect the trichomes, or Keif. This is your gold. Once you have collected some, you can sprinkle it on your bud for an extra kick.

Yeah get a grinder bro, it's well worth the money. After a while there will be some kief waiting for you.

 

yeah i thought grinders were a waste of money until i got one. Then i realized kief is gods gift to the earth and now i grind everything no matter how little bud it is. Either get a Sharpstone or a Titanium Crusher

You need a grinder wether your rolling a joint, packing a bowl, loading a vape, or making edibles. It's an essential tool in every stoners kit.
I reccomend getting a 4 piece Chromium Crusher from eBay or amazon. They are about $20 and it's a great deal.

Make sure to grind up some paper or tobacco before you use it, empty it, then wash it with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, rinse well, and set it out to dry. It's very important as this will get rid of any remaining chemicals, dust, oils, or pieces of metal and junk from the manufacturing process.

 

Ok so i'm gonna use this thread to ask my own question sorry, lol. Everyone keeps saying to get a grinder for the keif but what if you just use a pollen catcher? I've never grinded my weed for a bong rip, and I just use a pollen catcher to collect the keif. Does that make much difference?

 

Pollen catcher??? Are you referring to a keif box??

 

Either way works really, but a grinder is more like breaking up all your bud then put it in the pollen catcher and see how much more kief you get. Although i guess if you shake your pollen catcher (I have seen a few people on here recomend this) then it would be about the same i guess.

Your choice really i just love my grinder because of the conveniance i can pack what i plan to smoke that night keep it in the grinder and just take little pinches of what i need when i want it, and after a little while on a special ocasion or something fun i will pack a bowl with kief I love it

 

pollen catcher is the term used for tobbaco and other herbs I think

and since kief is from marijuana only and most people use grinders for marijuana it is called a kief catcher

Yeah thats what i'm used to calling them all the headshops around here sell them as "pollen catchers" but yeah basically just a keif box.

 

Yes and buy one with a kief compartment so you can save up your kief as well.

 

I always shake mine once my bud is grinded as I assume it forces more trichomes to fall through the screen... Just a weird habit I dunno if it works.
