Grinder Diameter & Price

  1. halloa all...

i'm new to GC so forgive me if this ought to have been posted elsewhere...i don't smoke that often i don't think (compared to some...fluctuates btwn a few times a day to a couple times a week to a few times a month...whatever)...long story short, i was thinking about investing in a grinder and am running a little short on cash...i noticed that the more expensive and quality grinders (space case, sharp stone, etc.) are cheaper the smaller they are in diameter...and as they increase only a small amount, they get significantly more expensive...why is this? is there an advantage to investing a bigger grinder and spending more money for apparently no reason? if anyone could give me a reason, it'd be much appreciated...(if i can figure out how to even see if anyone has responded to this...word...thanks)

also, if i don't wanna invest in the very best grinder...what is a step down that is still great quality and maybe not as expensive...any suggestions? thanks again

    burn on
