  1. my screen on my grinder is getting pretty clogged and i saw one post where some guy says he would smoke tthe screen and burn all the kief that was packed in there and it was a fat hit/cleanedit perfect;y. i dont know about this method tho :confused:

    anyone have a good method to clean your grinder w/o running water through it?

  2. dis-assemble
    place in ziploc bag
    pour in some 91% iso alcohol
    shake the shit out of it.
    pour into a glass dish through a coffee filter
    let evaporate for a day
    scrape with razor
    get high.

  3. the only problem with this is the whole point of me not runninng watter through it is cause i want to salvage all the kief thats built up all over the place throughout like the whole grinder

  4. no, he is right that is what you want to do. THe 91% iso rubbing alcohol will clean your grinder like brand new and the precious keif disoloves into the rubbing alcohol. So, once the alcohol evaporates you can scrape it up to get HASH!!!:hello:

  5. EXCELLENT. thats what i wanted to herrrrrre :)

  6. no water was ever mentioned in taht response?

    ISO wash is teh best way to do it. if you dont want to make hash, put it in the freezer for liek 30 mins and then smash it and all the keif should fall out of the screen.

  7. Hey Central (or anyone) how long do you suggest soaking the grinder in the iso? Is the point that all thc will be absorbed into the iso so it should be strained or does the iso just remove the kief from the grinder and thus it would be more beneficial to not strain. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

  8. ^^ no straining involved at all.

    I prefer to use tupperware. I used a bag once and i felt like a lot of the thc stayed in the bag when i poured the alcohol out.

    And put your grinder in the freezer for like an hour before, it helps all the thc just fall off.

  9. :smoking::smoking: This!

  10. I strain mine because there's usually microscopic metal shavings, dirt, etc. on the grinder.

  11. mmmhh protein :D

    seriously though just qwiso it like the first poster said and youll be good man

  12. Just got my first "good" grinder with two screens. So happy that I can turn cleaning time into blazing time!

  13. what do ya need two screens for?? after a bit wouldnt bits of bud just clog up the screen anyway?

    my sharpstones always had brown sugary kief, never greenish. i cant see the point in two screens. half the kief will get stuck in the first screen-level anyway

  14. I figured that the second screen on my SharpStone (mine's one of those, too!) would drop superfine kief. It seems to work too, it looks like the most awesome dust you've ever seen!

  15. interesting, how much was that grinder? (@ tokingreek)

  16. $60 for the SharpStone 5 piece grinder. Got it from a head shop, though, so it can probably be had for much less.

  17. You show me a sharpstone after a few years of heavy use. And I'll show you a space case :wave:

  18. this ++

  19. I understand that but I wanted one now. Seems like SharpStone grinders are just lower quality copies of SpaceCase's. I'm sure I'll be ordering one online when I can afford it, but neither of the two head shops where I live carry Space Case grinders. Nonetheless, a little TLC involving a grinding head on my cordless Dremol tool solved the metal shavings problem (they don't trim the screen worth shit after they put the retainer ring in to hold it in place). I also have none of the sharp edges on mine that other SharpStone owners seem to report. It should last a good long while.
