This is gonna be my first ever grow journal, and my first auto as well. Due to budget, space, and privacy issues, this is pretty much gonna be a barebones grow, so if you want pretty equipment pics with name brand stuff, go elsewhere. Now, on to the fun stuff. Soil: Now, i know people rant and rave about miracle-gro soil being terrible, but i disagree. I'm using a custom mix of miracle-gro moisture control potting soil, shredded peat moss, and good ole black earth from under an old compost pile in a ratio of 60%/10%/30%. Seed: World of Seeds SMR Light: 225 Led 14w red/blue spectrum Pics will come as soon as she pops. I can't wait!! XD
48 hours since i started germinating. No sign of her taproot yet, though. Maybe it's a blessing, though, since my lights still haven't shown up. Oh well.
Has anyone had any luck scrogging a single plant? I've done it before, but never for just one plant. Any advice?
No sprout yet that sucks. Remembering germing my seeds for the first time ever couple weeks ago kept checking them every 6 hrs to make sure they were getting enough ear and still moist lol. They all sprouted within 48 hrs how u germing ? Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Grasscity Forum mobile app
For this grow i really want to try and go as natural as possible, so instead of my usual paper towel germ, i just dropped her in a shallow hole in her pot and moistened the soil real well. And i keep checking her every hour or so "just in case" she's popped while my back was turned. Aahh, the waiting is what sucks.
How do? You sprouted yet, ive got a few autos at various stages myself Sent from my GT-I9300 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Howdy, Peely. And no, not yet. I just bagged the pot to create a humidity tent to hopefully speed things up a bit. It'll be good for her once she sprouts, anyway.
Yeah always a good shout, have you got a pic of your setup? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Not yet. Trust me, it's seriously barebones right now. My lights aren't even here yet. Going to try to find a grow box today. I'll take pics when she pops, though.
I've got a few different ones going but just germing another to bury in about an hour. Is this your first grow then? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
All autos, got a super cali haze with a couple of weeks to go, a biodiesel which is two weeks old, a BB cheese at ten days and a white widow im about to take out the shot glass and stick in the dirt. All are fem seeds too. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
So while i was out hunting for something to make a grow cabinet out of the little girl finally popped!! Her root is pointed the wrong way, but she'll take care of that herself. The cabinet was a bust, though. I'll either have to build one from scratch or suck it up and order a tent. And my camera wants to make close up shots blurry, so for now there won't be any pics. Sorry, folks. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
To this day it still amazes me at how these wonderful plants take off once they start. Her root took the long way around the shell for some reason, but that didn't slow her down. In a little over 8 hours she put on more than a centimeter of root. She should stand up either tomorrow or the day after. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Okay, my nutes and box are on the way. Scrapped the natural grow idea and am just gonna go hydro, with a small SCRoG for just one plant. Nutes will be the Fox Farm trio. I just hope that she slows down some for a few days. Transplanting from soil to hydro isn't difficult, but if she's too far along it may shock her. *sigh* Why do things always deviate from the plan? lol Sent from my SCH-S720C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
