  1. Hellooooo all my fellow stoners! I love my dube, i love who it's made me and I love hanging out with stoners!

  2. Welcome to the city!

I think your country and mine (Australia) have a good brotherly bond going on because we're both known for having more than our fair share of creatures with the ability to kill humans. It's not a traditional common ground, but hey it's still a connection!

Look forward to seeing you around the forums, and i'm sure you'll make plenty of new long distant stoner friends in your time here.

  7. aaaahhhhhh, stoners are just the nicest peeps around!!! Thanks Miyagi

  8. Very freely available here in Aus, I think I remember reading somewhere that we have one of, if not the most users per capita in the world. It's also largely seen as a socially acceptable substance by almost everyone, excluding the cops of course.:smoke:

    What's it like over there?

  9. Jungles n shit

    Nice

  10. hahahaha......no jungles! we're quite civilized here!!

I dunno so much about the doob being socially acceptable...people are so judgemental!!
But having said that, more and more peeps are smoking......brings the conscious and sub-conscious closer!!

  11. Canada is very quiet.. atleast in my area, people usually keep their nose out of your business unless of course you live in a large city.. But for the most part it's usually just cold, snowy and dark here.. I always say that Canada only has 2 seasons.. Winter and Construction.

    cheers man :smoke:

  12. I often wondered what the general acceptance of weed in Africa. What country do you live in? What would happen if you were to be arrested? I definitely agree what you said about the sub-conscious and conscious being more connected as well, i feel like sometimes i can feel like im doing some sub-consciously or i get little feelings from my s-c and ive actually had some pretty freaky physic shit from it hahah im high as shit, welcome to the city :smoke:

I laughed my ass off (at the bolded) because its so true! Non-stop construction when the snows gone, seriously cant go two blocks here without seeing some right now. At least in my area... Also you forgot to say windy...it is incredibly windy here...probably worse here cause im on the prairies i guess

  13. Welcome!I've been to SA once,very beautiful.

  14. Give us the low-down on South Africa, tell everyone here what's up. From the bud, to the women to anything you can think of.

    :bongin:

HA! I've never heard that before but it is unbelievably true!

I was dealing with some FUCKED UP traffic tonight actually because of construction, shit gets brutal sometimes..

    Ontario btw.

  15. Hellloooooo to all my new stoner friends!
Ok, so im in South Africa, Johannesburg to be exact! (im a (hot) lady, in case you were wondering!!)
In terms of the "bud" (as you call it), we have PLENTY!!!! indoor, outdoor, chronic, home made.....name it, we have it! and you can buy wherever you see a dude with dreads!
Its fairly cheap, for example I pay R 90 (about 9 euro) for a bag with approx 150g. This is the "bottom of the barrel" stuff, called Swazi!
The good stuff is sold by the gram and its from R 50...and i mean GOOOOOD stuff. Half a joint and you're f*cked for the day!!
Now the men!!, well thats a different story all together......big fat Afrikaans dudes whose only interest is rugby and braai (barbeque)! Hence my "single" status! lol
The ladies on the other hand are ..... HOT!!!
Contrary to popular belief, we are quite civilised and we keep our elephants in game parks!....roflmao!
So what do ya'll call the "bud"? There are so many names here but I like the internationally accepted "dube"!!
Chat soon peeps, long weekend coming up here, Mondays a holiday (not sure what holiday, but its a day off!!)
    Laters stoners xxx

  16. a previous life you say??...lol

when were you here and where did you visit?

  17. serious question... Is al race's generally accepted in south africa...lol

  18. All stoner chicks are hot, it's just some magical occurrence that only people who smoke get to notice, and even then, few understand why. It's just a simple fact of life.

Marijuana in Australia is almost always called 'weed' or 'pot'. Other common ones are "choof", "bud" and "grass". It tends to get a little confusing as you look at each individual smoker, because I think we all have secret code words for it that only our friends understand, but those are the major ones. Bongs are commonly called a "Billy", but I think we simply use the American terms like spliff, joint etc. for pretty much everything else.

Our "bottom of the barrel" is generally referred to (and pardon the language here) "shit weed". We have a tendency to be very blunt at times.

It's not really common belief you guys over there are uncivilized, in fact almost the opposite. I think a lot of people here in Aus see South Africa as a place that's pretty much the same as where we live, minus the fact you have much cooler animals! We make fun of your cricket/rugby teams, laugh at your accent... Pretty much the same stuff I reckon you all say about us, but it's always in good fun.

Your 'good stuff' sounds dangerous, i've never had anything that will mess me up all day, especially not from half a joint! Good prices too... Might have to plan a bit of a smoking safari down the line.:smoke:

  19. Hey there,
Im pretty accepting but racism is rife in SA.....as it is all over the world!
i have no time for racists! I look at it like this.... peeps are just like presents....all shapes, sizes, colours, heavy, big, small........ya know what i mean?.....there's always summin good in a present!!
    Where you from?

  20. Nice to see someone from South Africa :) one love. But Swazi is definitely not the lowest quality bud we have. I'm from Cape Town actually and I believe it is a bit more all round here than in the other places or that's just the opinion I've formed through talking to people from all round South Africa.

One thing to notice though is the weed here is VERY cheap compared to over sea the dank will be cheaper and the cheap shit also. The lowest we have is a very kak bud that is known as PONDO (R2 for a bag rolled in newspaper). That is mostly big thick stems with chopped up leaves with low THC content. You really don't want that.
Then you get Tarrie (R5 for same bag as Pondo) that is low quality chopped up but with a shitlode seeds as is pondo, but tarrie you can still smoke if you clean well and stack a bong. You'll get high as fuck from 2 or 3 bowls and it all right if you're really low on cash. Then you get Swazi with to my opinion is really under rated .The Swazi you buy of the streets is all tight (it still be a pure saliva with some seeds that smokes a bit harsh but gets you there and beyond) But if grown with care and knowledge you get seedless high THC count quality Swazi bud like Swazi gold and rooibaard Swazi that you grow yourself indo or outdo if you choose.
A welled care for Swazi plant grown outdoor in the Africa sun (my personal best would be rooibaard) can easily reach 2 meters and can be pruned to be bushy as fuck. that is mostly your local bud and Swazi `price can be from R30 for a cheap street bag or R250 for a parcel to R50 - R150 for really decent Swazi ex. Swazi gold grown indoor for R100 for like a 4g bag or similar. Like I said Swazi is a pure sativa and the quality you see highly depends on the overall care of the plant and the curing process witch is non existent in street Swazi.
We also have skunk going for the same price ass street Swazi or indoor skunk for R50 a bag and both is a more that decent smoke. Then you get your imported strains you get all over the world, northern lights, blueberry Kush, trainwrek, cheese, and all are grown indo / outdo, local or imported ass you wish. You get a fuck lode of strains and the price would be from R50 - R300 depending on quality, dealer and stupidity of the guy buying. If you know were to look you can meet a LOT of fellow stoners , but you still have society that is full of shit for musty a lack of knowledge than anything else witch you would get everywhere though.
Here in Cape Town the people are VERY diverse and you get people from highly spiritual meditators to jocks watching rugby at the bar to the guy just having fun on his own way. I do have to say we have really beautiful woman in South Africa, but not all the guys are like you say. I've heard most guys are though up there in Johannesburg but not at all down here, ha-ha just comes visit some time and ill show you :).
And about the racism here , yes you would find that shit everywhere you go but most educated people here have gotten over that bullshit that happened so long ago to my mind and I personally live happily with a diverse culture of close friends ranging from black white , collared , Chinese , everyone . It really is what's in the inside that makes you who you are. I would only leave Cape Town to go live off the earth primitively and have my cows, chickens, plants and hut in Ethiopia to live my dream of leaving the corrupt social order we have on the planet and the negativity and destruction we cause as we live this westerns way of life but that's off topic for now ;) Ha-ha I might add that I'm a white male grown up in the bullshit appartyds era and disregarded all that people tried to tell me and found the loving way of peace to live a child of the EARTH and call myself human rather than a collar . Africa is our home, one love :smoke:

Pardon the spelling and use of words but I am Afrikaans (not the rugby watching , non weed smoking racist jock doosh kind of people you talk about in Johannesburg though.):hello:
