green dragon helpp

    gonna make green dragon on the stove, it says use 1 oz citrus extract , what if you dont have a citurs extract? would squeezing an orange or lemon do the trick?

    i don't think it will really matter, he heat of the stove will be enough to convert most of the THCA into THC, ph change can also accelerate the process, but the effect will be insignificant compared to the heat involved. if i were you i use use lemon juice.

    theres a good chance the citrus was just added for flavor into the recipe, and the ph change was never even the intent.

    to make this more clear.

    a lot of the Cannabinoids in your average bud are tied up in the form of THCA, which has the exact same atoms and THC, just aranged diferently. over time THCA degrades into THC, it decays by half life, can't remember the time frame tho.

    heat and higher concentration of H+ ions (acid solutions) alter the hydrogen bonds of THCA and convert it into THC at a rate much higher then normal. if i were going to make green dragon i think i would start out with 70/30 combo of lemon juice and alcohol, and heat this solution with the bud for a while before adding the additional alcohol.

    well what i read, said to put 1oz extract and bud in a container and then put that inside a pot of water and keep at a certain temp for 20mins orwhatver , then after that you cool it. IT dosent really mention any alcohol, whats the right way?

    There's like 900 threads on green dragon, read a couple of them. You don't use water at all, and making it more acidic isn't necessary. I don't even use a stove when I make mine, I just let it sit for a couple weeks.

    what you are taking is very different from any green dragon i have ever read about. its some times called potka and in generally made from ever clear or Bacardi 151. if you found this online could you link me do it.

    if not what do you plan to do with this citrus ganja mess other and drink it. (don't drink it now the THC is much more effective when dissolved by a solvent like alcohol or lipids.
