  1. yea, that sight's great for techniques and tips, cooking, etiquette, what have you, it's not update very often though

  2. haha, nice site

  3. thats a sweet site lots of good facts.

  4. that is definitely a good site for n00bs. I remember finding ti and reading everything there before I found the city.

  5. me too!...i was surprised that there was actually an etiquette to smoking

  6. i learned how to roll some pretty nice J's from that site

  7. I wasn't that suprised. The first time I smoked it seemed like there was a little ritual there. Most of smoking is unwritten unspoken tenative "rules" that make sure everyone is fair.

    It's mostly little things:
Puff, puff, pass (usually to the left)
If someone stops smoking in the circle, keep offering on each round. they may decide to smoke more.
don't pressure someone to smoke. I've talked people into trying it, but usually I've smoked around them a few times while giving them no shit about abstaining. It feels so good to get someone to smoke when they were against it, but pressure is not the key. Logical arguments are the way to go. They may take longer, but you'd be suprised how many people will eventually smoke when they can't argue anymore. I have a friend that was staunchly opposed to marijuana. He is great at arguing and we used to argue about everything for the hell of it without any hard feelings. We debated for a few months about pot before he smoked it. At first he said he didn't like it, but a few months later he sent me a voicemail blasted as hell telling me "what he had never told anyone before" that I was right and he was wrong, pot is AWESOME! I've never been so happy to hear about someone enjoying green.
He who packs the bowl/rolls the joint gets green hit. It doesn't matter who's pot it is. Often times I'll still offer the green hit to someone else if they bought the pot.
Don't bogart that joint! If it's your turn to smoke and your in the middle of a story or about to start a story, either pass or suspend the story for a moment.
Offer to match whoever your smoking with. Don't be a mooch. Share it if you got it. If someone's been smoking you up when you're out be sure to smoke them out. I've known moochers and people talk about moochers behind their backs. People who always throw in or who smoke their friends up on a regular basis are always welcome.
DON'T EVER blow into a pipe or bong that's packed. If you blow someone's pot out of a bowl, they won't be happy. If you blow in a bong and soak the bowl in water, well that's no good either.

I think that's an overview of ettiquete. Judging pot that you're going to buy takes more time to learn. You can read about appearances and smells, but until you actually experience them it's hard to know what you're doing. Plus, eyeballing weights is a bitch if you're not somewhat experienced. Different kinds of bud have different densities, and then you have to factor it whether it was brick pressed or fully cured or if someone added water for weight. To the n00b I say find some friends you can trust not to screw you. That way you can learn what going rates for various kinds and amounts are. Also, if a dealer is weighing in front of you, he's usually straight. I've only had one dealer that weighed in front of me that I didn't explicity trust to not weigh it. If they weigh it in front of you, they usually have nothing to hide. But don't distrust people who already have it weighed out. It's easy on the dealer to split it ahead of time if he's rolling around. Invest in a $5 pocket scale. They aren't incredibly accurate, but you'll be able to see if you're getting what you're supposed to.

  8. always pass to the left cause the right way is wrong...

i've always wanted to get my buddies together and write a stoner ettiqute book, i think if you did it right you could sell a lot of copies...plus you'd have to be baked to write it, could be a fun project.... :smoke:

  9. nothing big, but the direction of rotation doesn't matter as long as everyone takes a hit in order.. and on benches and shit like that the joint/bowl doesn't go back the same way, you give it to the dude who lit it..
like if there are 1,2,3,4 people on a bench, the order goes 1,2,3,4,then 1,2,3,4 not 1,2,3,4 then 4,3,2,1..
    :D
