Gravity bong help

I have an empty handle of evan williams that I plan on making a grav with. I know how to make the basic grav but was wondering if there are ways to make it hit smoother or anything to make it better. I was thinking size 3/8 or 3/16 as a bowl, could use some advice on that too.
