Gravitron Gravity Bong

  1. I was surprised when i saw a demonstration Gravitron on the counter.. i had never heard of it before, even here on grasscity (after a search i did find a couple posts), and its gotta be the most unique glass piece you could bring to a party. I spent $70 on the large one (fucken rip off but the only headshop in the area that sells them) and $12 on a longer downstem.. plus like $10 in tax.. only regret is buying the downstem. It came with a bowl thats stem went down an inch or two which i kept packed away for the first couple days of use.. every hit would taste worse and worse, which is the exact opposite of what i bought that downstem for.. i wanted a little cleaner tasting smoother hits. The stem is stupid long so its a pain in the ass to clean, it gets mad dirty quick and then smells worse then any of my other pieces ever have. Now that ive been using the regular one my hits actually dont taste too bad and i can burn a ridiculous amount more in one hit. Does anybody else have one? I read a tip on here about putting ice in it to make it even smoother, i was thinking about holding the vaporizer mouthpiece into the bowl and making a vape grav bong hit.. are there any other ideas or shit to do with this?

  2. they come with a downstem now? hmm.

Ive had the small, medium, and 3 of the larges.

They all broke because of dumb people.

They are ok, not the smoothest hit, but it does get ya f'd up

  3. I've heard about them before they also make grav labs pieces. But a grav is a piece you make at home when you want the novelty of it, I couldn't imagine using that regularly.

  4. yeah man.. definitely not worth it, after you light your hit you gotta hold the bottle part steady and pull that 8 or something inch downstem out, using the handle on the side of the bowl since the bowls mad hot. Its not that tough the first 2 times you do it when your sober but it gets progressively harder haha

and Gigglin, nah i dont use it that often i have a regular bong.. this stands out when you bring it to parties tho everybody wants to try it

  5. yeah they all want to try it, then break it or spill it or blow water everywhere.

    I hate people lol

  6. As long as its in my house, i only let myself and a select couple friends light it.. theres too many ways to fuck up and make a mess. If im at somebody elses house with it i dont give a fuck they can accidentally blow ashes and splash smelly water however much they want.

  7. lol I've used a large size Gravitron probably a hundred times, and I always end up burning my thumb.

Nothing gets hot, just the way it is positioned really easy to light your finger, but it is a pretty cool and different way to switch things up.

  8. They dont have those at my headshop either, i saw they also have this weird bubble shaped pipe that swirls the smoke around a lot to keep it cleaner and smooth your hit.. i would probably buy that.

I also burned my thumb with it, all my other bowls are thicker and dont really get hot so i just grabbed this one like i usually did. I actually had a nice blister on my thumb because i didnt want to just drop the glass and its like 8 inches long so i had to gently pull it out haha

  9. That is called the Helix. I have one. Smoothest non-water piece I have ever used.

  10. Yo does it actually stay cleaner because of the smoke not touching the glass? Thats a big reason i want it im tired of always cleaning pieces

  11. ashcatchers keep your main piece really clean, you just rinse out the a/c and replace the water.

  12. Yes. There will be a little pull through if you use the one hitter or bowl attachment (without a screen), but just run a little water through the Helix portion and it will be good as new. Obviously the attachments will need regular cleaning, just like any other glass bowl or pipe.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ub8Tnpq268"]YouTube - Vortex Pipe (Now HELIX pipe *helixpipe.com*)[/ame]

proper hit of a vortex (helix) drypipe.

I have a helix pipe with the bubbler head too, a nice piece for sure.

The drypipe was dropped from about 3 ft onto concrete by some stupid ass stoner (NOT me) and it wasn't even scratched, shit is SOLID.

Its not just about cleaner hit, its about the vortex chamber, and the multipipes work just as good as the drypipes.

A handful of people have told me you can't make a good vortex with the bubbler, and to them I say.. "youre doing it wrong"

The multipipe actually has a perfect machined hole so the vortex spirals are even tighter, you can make cool patterns inbetween bubbler chamber bubbles.

I got an ashcatcher for my bong.. turns out if i take the stem and grommet piece out the ash catcher fits perfectly, im definitely happy i found that out because now i dont have to frequently clean and change the water.

How much does that pipe cost? I haven't seen it at either headshop i go to but im sure i could drive a little to phillidelphia which would most likely have a headshop with a bigger selection of gravlab pieces

  15. I got mine for $70 back when they were vortex pipes and I feel like thats kind of high. I think the 3 piece kit is somewhere in the $150 range. My shop has a diffused bubbler head but its $70 alone.

I remember the first time I got it when I didn't know if it was going to work or be expensive stealroller, but after a few bowls me and my friends figured out how to make awesome stream spirals in the middle.

With the bubbler its fucking boss because you can make little plumes of smoke in lines in the chamber for each bubble so its like a dotted line moving through the chamber.

Wish I had a video camera so I could record it..

Gravlabs is texas based just FYI

they put out a limited edition with half marble with a texas emblem worked into the side of the bowl, was pretty sick looking but I had just bought my vortex pipe a few months earlier.. If only I had waited! (bought mine when I did so I could break it in 4/20 though)

  16. haha holy shit they have helix bongs! thats cool never saw those.

Those are probably badass too, fun toys for sure.

  17. FYI, their website has a store locator that shows you where their products are stocked.

  18. Another nice thing about the multipipe with bubbler head is that you never have to clean it...

I swish some extra water through it every time I dump it out and thats about it, with all the resin around the stem it makes it really easy to make cool spiral streams.
