Blades listen up, a very, very good friend of mine is doing a new music project, he asked me if I can bring this to your attention and if you would be so kind to let him know if you like what he is doing (or not!). You can communicate with him via his myspace pages. Please check it out and make him big! Grasscity appreciates it! Lets show we can make it happen! Peace SJ Adres: http://www.orchestre-a-dakar.nl Highly recommended by Grasscity l'Orchestre A-Dakar The strong and intense vocals by Mola Sylla from Senegal with the electronic and cinematic music by Baz Mattie from Amsterdam, combined in the unique sound of l'Orchestre A-Dakar. l'Orchestre A-Dakar is worldbeat at its best. Think: Massive Attack meets Youssou N.Dour meets Zero 7 meets Tinariwen This is 'no fast lane' and 'looking for instant succes' music, so relax....and take your time. Please check: http://www.orchestre-a-dakar.nl and listen to their songs. If you like it, give 'm your support and leave a message. The song 'Lay Lay' is available for a free download. More songs will be available for a free download soon. Debut album is coming in october 2008. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QxcfLKxdIBw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QxcfLKxdIBw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I wish I could understand the language, but I must say they have extremely relaxing songs. Once their album is out I'm gunna have to pick it up.
The music is too repetitive, and simplistic. I think the musicians need more theory backround, to add more texture to the sound. The sound is good, and the layering is good, but it doesn't go any where. I found myself wanting more, but I'm not really into trance like music, I need to be challanged. This is just my opinion, but I've been studying and playing professionally for 25 years!
Baz Mattie has plenty of theory background, but he would love to hear from you if you have advie or theories to make it better. SJ
MUSIC THEORY ahahahahaha i love the voice. although, the music sounds very similar to the french band Air.
very trance like music, im a little confused are you asking us for somthing or just sharing some good music? what does their name mean in english? pretty good stuff, cant say im a huge fan of electroacoustical nut deffinitly some good tunes going there
Ludwig rolls over in his grave. See that what i was thinking at first. But it was a nice change, lately house music has been nothing but a strive for the complex. I liked it, a little more layering and build up and you have my heart.
I'm only sharing some good music (IMHO) and want to help a friend to get his music out in the world, he's not in it for the money, just want to find likeminded people via his myspace pages and he asked for my help, so that's all I'm asking peace SJ
Really enjoyed this. Don't understand the languange, but the sound of the language in itself was very relaxing and enjoyable. Tell him his got at least one supporter.
There is sooo much out there. For example moby, by the reason that he looks like a chemo patient people dont really listen to him. But he's got good stuff: <object width="425" height="373"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtBnfJvf6eQ&hl=en&rel=0&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtBnfJvf6eQ&hl=en&rel=0&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="373"></embed></object> or <object width="425" height="373"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/D1Fcaro25Ek&hl=en&rel=0&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D1Fcaro25Ek&hl=en&rel=0&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="373"></embed></object> That song always reminds me of my first roll....
