Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by Blabbernaut, Jul 5, 2020.

  1. Neither Trump nor Biden seem to want Cannabis decriminalized Federally. If these big pharma politicians won't respect and do what Americans want. 60% or so want it legalized and decriminalize. What to do?

  2. Soooooo when Trump was running, before he got elected, I read some fake news (lol) that said he was for legalizing MJ... unfortunately this was not true :(

  3. I think Trump actually said he was in favor of medical marijuana. And said he would leave it up to the States. So he should at the very least take it off schedule 1 illegal drugs. As it is now research cannot be done.

  4. Yea I dont remember him being for it or against it. Just kind of neutral on the matter.

  5. All we can do is keep pushing for it. More states will become legal, particularly November will be significant with all the ballot initiatives states will have, some will for sure pass. With neither Trump nor Biden being supportive, we're probably going to need years to pass and more states to vote. If more and more states legalizing isn't enough for the feds to pull their heads out their asses then we may not see change federally for at least 4 more years.

At this rate. I'll be a senior citizen by the time it is Federally legal. I love how the House and Senate aren't required to take random drug tests to hold their most important positions of running (ruining in most cases) the country. But almost any decent job out there forces normal citizens.

  7. Biden won't do shit. Trump maybe. I wish there was a strong third party. P.S. I'm proud to say I'm tore the fuck up.

  8. Really the only way I see it becoming legal on a federal level is for state by state legalization and once the last state in the union legalizes it they will have no choice but to legalize at a federal level.

  12. It would have to be over 50% because then it's an even divide. If even 51% then it must be legalized. Of course remember powerful interests lobby to keep it illegal.

  13. Kentucky and Indiana will not pass even medical for a very very long time. The people will not come together on any issue. So we're fucked. :bang:

  15. even if that happens it could take another year before the stores open. what ever law is passed it will be so watered down that a strong black market will still be big.
