Bag Appeal: 5/10 Nothing special to look. Smell: 9/10 Pretty much smells like grape fruits. On the plant or in the bag it reeks of grape fruit. It almost smells to much. Taste: 6/10 Not a personal favorite, it was good but seemed kinda harsh. The High: 8/10 Good effect not to sleepy but good and stoned. Comments: I liked this weed over all the kinda odd citrus type taste was a bit much at times but overall a good smoke. Growing this plant is a different story though, not the easiest grow. What speed bumps did you run into in the grow? And how long was the cure? I found a good sweet taste coming through with a 6-8 week cure. The only growing problem I had with one of the girls was the super stretch. Interested to hear the details of your grow, thanks for the report.
My main issues were.... A. the stretching seemed to make mine 4X the height I put it in flowering at, even during veg the internode spacing was really long even with lowering the lights and running them 24hrs. Doing the latter helped but not much. I also flowered the current plant a bit earlier and it filled out a bit nicer. B. my plants seemed really susceptible to powerdy mildew, even though I don't let my enviroment get above 50%RH. The first round was fine through flowering but I harvested 1/2 the plant cause the lower buds were not ready yet. Days later powdery mildew every where, and I trashed the rest of the plant. Second round PM started a week into flower, treated it with a 1-9 mix of milk and water, pruned off the affected leaves and have been watering with smaller amounts of water every day vs. regular amounts every three days or so. C. N diff. in mine they started showing this within days of flowering. Easy fix was add more N during the veg state and have been adding a bit more N when feeding during flowering. Here is a pic of the last plant I am doing for this strain about two weeks into flowering. All pretty easy fixes but was a pain in the ass to have to change my feeding schedule for a couple plants, not to mention the cost associated with running a 400W MH for an extra 6 hrs a day to try and keep the stretch under control. As for my curing I am currently about 5 weeks into it. When I started smoking on it I was at about 3 weeks in. using the standard dry for a week or two and jar and burp them for 4-6 weeks. As of last night the taste is calming down but is still a bit overwelming, specificaly the after taste. The smoke is becoming smoother but the after taste kinda reminds me of when I used to pick up from a guy that would put orange peals in his stash to keep his shit from drying out to much. I still have one plant to harvest so I will put moar bud shots up when it is done, this round looks way more promising.
