Granny's MMJ List- July 2010

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Storm Crow, Aug 3, 2010.

  1. Federally, no. Unless you are in our government's MMJ program, the "Compassionate Investigational New Drug Program" or in a FDA- permitted study, all cannabis use is illegal.

On a state level, depends where you are.

And this fall, we will likely add a half dozen new MMJ states and a few more with recreational legalization. How ridiculous will the government look when 2/3s of the nation's states recognize medical use of something the federal government claims has NO medical uses? The US will have to either legalize medical use, ignore the reality of medical use and become a laughing stock among nations, or do a totalitarian crack-down and crush all cannabis use and send us back to the 1950s!

Looking at it from a population standpoint, the majority of the US does have some form of legal medical use.

And the majority of US citizens want legal medical access for everyone, but the politicians are a decade (or more) behind the people.

"U.S. majority favors legal medical pot use, pills for PTSD: poll" (Reuters- 2016) where "About 89 percent supported legal use of MEDlCAL MARlJUANA among adults if prescribed by a doctor".
U.S. majority favors legal medical pot use, pills for PTSD: poll

And we have the majority for legalizing recreational use, too.
In U.S., 58% Back Legal Marijuana Use In U.S., 58% Back Legal Marijuana Use

So medical use in the US is currently in the process of transforming from an illegal drug to legal herbal medicine, and that takes time, unfortunately. Medical cannabis use SHOULD be 100% legal for all the states, and with the possibility of rescheduling later this summer, it may happen soon.

I don't know what is available to you locally. If you have dispensaries, have a chat with the budtenders.

And Leafly has a strain guide that is helpful-
