Grams to ML, dosage bamboozla

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Zazzl, Jul 14, 2017.

  1. My brain isn't qutie firing at 100% these days
    if I were taking something like a RSO, a gram a day for 90 days - 90g
and someone offered me a stronger oil, say going up from 60%/10% to 80%/20% THC/CBD
and it comes in 100ml vials
what is a rough equivilant dose just going on numbers? and ignoring immediate effect.

  2. The mass of that oil in 1 mL (close to 1 dropper full) is roughly (1 mL)*(0.9 g/mL) = 0.9 g = 900 mg
    For 60/10 oil, that's 540 g thc + 90 mg cbd
    For 80/20 oil, that's 720 mg thc + 180 mg cbd
One dropper full of olive oil (but probably not RSO) is about 30-40 drops, so we could divide those numbers by 30 or 40 to get dosage per drop.
Using 35 drops, the approximate dose per drop is
    60/10: 15 mg thc + 2.6 mg cbd
80/20: 21 mg thc + 5.1 mg cbd (some rounding error)
Better would be to count the drops yourself, if you want to dose by the drop, and find out how many drops per dropper.
