    It is not spelled, "alot"
    IT IS ACTUALLY SPELLED A LOT

'alot' makes more sense in terms of how the word is being used. i guess 'a lot' refers to a lots worth of shit, one lot being comprable to an acre. a 'lot' seems like an outdated standard of measuremnet though. 'alot' on the other hand, is kind of a slang word used to describe, well, alot of shit. :rolleyes:

    This has been a resolution of mine.


    Apostrophes on plurals make me cringe. Especially when it's on like a hand-made sign outside of a pizza joint or something, like a professional establishment with misspellings hung in its windows...

    but my pet peeve with spelling is definitely.

    it's DEFINITE-LY not definately, definatly, definitly, difinetly, etc etc etc
