   I even have a "buffer" container on the output and the noise was still irritating.
   I replaced the air pump with a "dual diaphragm" from GH.
   About 3psi and man is this thing QUIET!

   I run my air pump on a timer. I use one large stone in my reservoir and it kicks on about 10-mins before my water cycle and then stays off for almost 4 hours.
