ok, to cut a long-ish story short-ish, i got arrested on friday for possession of cannabis. had just under an 1/8 of resin and purely by chance, the police popped round the corner, spotted me skinning up and took me in. what i'd like to know is how will this affect my future? i only got a caution (which lasts for 5 years) but does this mean i can't apply for a visa to get into USA? i've heard different stories from different people but need some solid info so t'would be great if you could tell me. thanks a lot.... PS, i'm 17 which means i'm treated as an adult.
You'll probably be able to have it taken off your record after going through a few months of regular drug tests and whatever. Your first pot offence isn't really a big deal. You'll have to pay a bunch of fines though. And possesion of an 1/8 might not even be a felony depending on what state you live in.
