  3. Made it back to Poedunkville, Ok. Drove the speed limits and in a straight line. Made sure all lights worked. One of my daughters helped too. The Camry avg. 34 mpg.

Hoping to hear tomorrow that they signed the house buy offer sheet. We'll be in Pueblo area soon I hope.

  4. image.jpeg image.jpeg Picked me up some nice merchandise while there. Blue Dream.

    Happy says it all.
TLDR. I'm moving to Colorado in June. Got housing taken care of.

    LAP:

Our BIG ADVENTURE just got REAL real. We now have our new place in Pueblo, CO under a binding/legal contractual agreement. This is a HUGE day for my family and my friends. You will have a place to come and gather if needed. Like The Stand kinda.
This adventure began mid August 2014 after our OFH petition failed.
I told my daughters that day after coming home from the state capital, that'd I let my eldest daughter finish HS since she had only 2 years left and I was going to start saving $$ for a relocation. After the GtV petition didn't gather enough signatures, my family's destiny was determined by the people of Oklahoma.

I'd looked at the rents in CO and deemed that with rent deposits (which may or may not be refunded) utility deposits (homebuyers don't pay deposits in Pueblo, anyway) that renting wasn't an option for us. I wasn't going to spend $3,000 getting into something I could be kicked out of, have rent raised and possibly lose those HIGH deposits. Plus an APBT. We needed some low budget, affordable, clean housing, without restrictions. Saving a little $ at a time helped, BUT rebuilding my credit score was the BIGGEST difference.
The fact we chose Pueblo had to do mostly with affordability. Denver and The Springs were WAY to expensive and N of there it traditionally colder and so Pueblo, CO became our target city. The winter months in the valley have a weather pattern called the Banana Express. Warmer, milder temps in the winter.
It's only 7 hours from my folks, who can still drive and that made it nice.
After going to Pueblo in March of this year I put together an A-Team.
I got a realtor (ReMax-Pueblo) first and a lender second. Getting them working for you cost $0.00. They make a living that way. The lender can get you pre-qualified for something if your credit score still has life. The realtor introduced me to a lender that he's worked with many times, since I wanted them in the same town so they could exchange info and ideas on getting me moved to freedom ASAP.
I would suggest the same tactic, even if you do it over the phone. Find out if and what you may qualify for. My lender got my data and called me on our drive home in March, of what my spending limits would be, which was surprisingly more than I had anticipated.
We ventured back to Pueblo last week with one objective, find a house to put an offer on before we left that Sunday AM. We had 6 homes to see. Ours was the last one we saw. We made an offer 2 hours later.
We were able to do that successfully on April 29 and as of today May 4, the sales contract agreement is a binding, legal document. My new landlord will be a bank and my payment will now be 35.2% less than my rent has been.
Can't THANK those of you who've been with me on this journey enough.
Probably be moving June 1-10 time span.
We are all happy to be able to go to a progressive state. I want to help others get here to if they so desire.
My Higher Power, whom I Choose to call Heavenly Father, has been with us on this whole journey. From safely getting us to and from there on our journeys, to helping us get a home that after 422 days should not have been for sale still, imo. Going to be a lot of work in the next 30 days. Garage sales and throwing out.
Going to get my MED Badge, which is the cannabis industry work card as soon as I get my CO DL, which you need to get an appointment to be seen at the licensing place.

I know this is long as fuck, a good fuck anyway, but I want to help others learn about this transition from a prohibition state to a legal one.

  8. Well, it is better than Oklahoma at least.

I'm tryin' to get out of here, but there's no way in hell I'd live in Oklahoma.:coolalt:

Be aware there's a 2 year CO residency requirement to apply for state retail or commercial grow licenses. To work in the industry all you need is the industry badge. $150. That's what I'm starting out for.

  11. Nice man! I've been thinking about this so hard lately. I loved it when i went there, i just worry about a job if i go out there and try to make it. Good luck!!

  12. image.jpeg Good news still winning. Title company lady says closing could be as soon as June 3, if things keep rolling good.
Beyond excited at this point. 6 months ago u didn't envision this happening so fast. Here's the backyard. Anyone picture a grow room addition there?

image.jpeg U haul rented, Elders here and there in place to load/unload. Rolling out of this shit hole state on June 24. I'm going to LOVE seeing Welcome to Oklahoma in my rear view mirror.
Got my CO MMJ Dr. appointment set for Sunday, June 26th at 2:30? A Sunday. Can you believe that shit.
$90 total including state fees. I'll have to pay for an extended plant count. Looking to get a 24 or 36 plant card depending on whether Doc will agree and the price difference. The MMJ registry cards are price scaled according to your plant count. I'll have more than this pic anyway.
Got my MED Badge Certification appointment for July 12
