Well, its been about 6 years since I've a full-on hair cut. Just a trim here and there. Its been to my shoulders for as long as I care to remember. I've been going to the gym a lot more recently, and I find that its nearly impossible for me to swim any laps without getting up and re-tying my hair every half lap. Not only that, its just becoming more annoying now than it used to be. Takes for ever to wash and comb it out, in the morning, its a real bitch to get under control. Ah well...we've had some great times, hair. I'm sure every inch of you is just permeated with THC. But, for now, OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! So, today at 4 I'm getting my first hair cut in years. I grew up in a military family, so anytime my hair touched my ears it was time for a haircut, whether I wanted one or not I've never had long hair... Good luck with the haircut!
Yeah, about 4 years ago I had really long hair. I love metal music and grew it out for the headbanging aspect. But it eventually got annoying, plus I wanted to surprise my wife on our wedding day because she wanted me to cut it. I wouldn't mind kind of growing it back, but I work in the wedding industry and I benefit from the cleaner image.
Pics!!! I love my long hair too much....I think when it's straightened (naturally wavy) it is 30+ inches long. But it is starting to get hot in this shit hole so I think I may be following your foot steps and cutting it off too. Except that my hair is long/thick/healthy enough to make two wigs(from what I've been told) so I'm gonna donate it. Good luck man!!!! It is hard of letting go long hair when you've had it so long.
got long hair last year 2009 new year it was long.. got it buzzed have been growing it back for dreads.. no combing , no perfume/chemical color shampoo. its starting to lock up and the texture has become much thicker, i have really thin hair naturally.

i had to cut mine off when i had brain surgery - donated it.....and went with the mohawk for a year or so its growing back tho..hell i have always had long hair i hate it short! mine is also very thick! in this pic half my head is shaved underneath and its still thick!
I got my hair cut off a couple weeks ago. I feel your pain. The lady didn't too bad of a job, so it wasn't as traumatic as I was expecting.
yeah mine was pretty long past my shoulders but i got fuckin wayy tired of it for the same reasons you did n cut it a few months ago glad i did, only annoying thing is havin to cut it every few weeks coes my hair grows fast
I had long hair for years and shaved it off a couple of summers ago. It was just getting to fucking hot at work and everywhere else for that matter so I went to the hair place after work one day and said "Shave it off with a one guard". You guys are right, it's cool but not worth the annoyance after awhile.

thats cool. i understand that. i've had long hair for.. 9 or so yrs. i'm not exactly sure. i been thinking about cutting so i have better chances of finding a job. but i think i'll miss it.
theres no good places to get my hair cut and nobody in my family is good at it. I let that shit grow out i look like a wild man.
I have found the opposite, chicks are more receptive now that I am short-medium length again. Plus it is much easier to maintain, you can just get up and go. Also found that with shaving, clean shaven or a few days of stubble rather than a beard, but it depends on the girl- they are always too picky
The deed has been done. Wow, it took him about hour to hack through that Lion's Mane. My head feels 15 lbs lighter now.
Aye, yea, this guy was good. Crackin' jokes all the way through. I honestly wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be. Once he lopped off the bulk of it, there was no going back and I didn't care anymore. I'm actually very happy with the way it turned out and its soooooooo much easier to wash my hair.
Day 2 and it feels great! I actually slept, woke up and for once I didn't have to pull my hair out of my beard like velcro. Nor did I spend 10 minutes combing out that many knots that formed over night. No regrets at all.
